Default I suck at searching eBay... anyone better?

I've been searching and searching eBay and Google, and every time I search "T3 turbos" or "T3 50 trim" I get all T3/T4 in the results. This is not what I want. I don't care if it's a chinacharger... the cheaper the better (well... to a point).

I'm looking for a 50 trim T3 with a .48 exhaust housing, internally gated. It's for a stock 1.6L. I want 230whpish with fast spool. I've done **** ton of reading on here and it seems like that turbo with the tacotaco manifold and a custom d/p will do what I want.

Anyone better at searching ebay for specific things than I am?

****, how are you guys finding these? I suck... lol

thanks! exactly what I'm looking for... (well, I think!? it is... will this meet my power goals?)

I read a thread where one guy had a Super60 and went down to a 50 trim chinacharger and made more torque earlier but a bit less HP at 13PSI. I forget if he was on a 1.6 or 1.8 though..

What turbine "trim" are those turbos? are they both what you would consider stage 1 wheels?

ya, I'm new to miatas... I know it would have less power, what I was getting at was how much it's good for for a 1.6L. I don't see myself needing more than 220-230whp. I have a 450whp RX7 to drive when I really crave boost.

I'm used to figuring out turbo sizes for big engines not little 1.6L ones... I'm not new to turbocharged vehicles..

50 trim on the turbine, vs. a typical 68 trim of a true garrett.

yes.

haha... what?
look again at who posted that info.

should have no problem achieving that power level.

Haha... ya I just looked again. So are you happy with the results? I will be beating on it at the track, but our local track is very short (1.4mi) and caters to smaller cars.

Is that the same turbo you purchased from the same seller?

same turbo, yes i believe same seller. i think i paid $175 shipped.

I'd like to see how a 50 trim Garrett wheel on a Garrett turbine outputs before I declare it a win. but no real complaints.

Is it bigger or smaller? I think I recall reading it has smaller wheel? Are you still looking for better spool?

Did you post this setup in the "I want your spool data.." thread?

Looks decent... how is that cast v-band holding up? I've had some problems in the past with cast v-bands breaking off.

I'm not using it so I could bolt it up to my existing downpipe.

Any interest in getting rid of it? (assuming you still have it of course)

Ya, I am for sure! What kind of downpipe is it though? V-band or 3 bolt?
