I'm looking at a DSM BOV and was wondering if it would work well for low boost applications (say 3-5 psi). Its not adjustable but i could simply chop the spring correcto mundo?

They can't be taken apart and put back together very easily...if at all. I've used them at 7psi and they worked great. Couldnt tell ya on 3-5 though but I'd imagine they'd work well.

If you get a DSM BOV, get the metal one and not the plastic unit.

I was thinking that the spring might be too stiff for that little amount

I can't say I've ever run one that low. Lowest was 8psi or so. I've run them upto 18psi so far without issue.

Best bang for the buck bov hands down. (1g metal dsm bov of course)

1g UNCRUSHED metal dsm bov is PERFECT for low psi (up to 9psi)

Yep. I'm running the "crushed" version on my car at 12 psi with no issues.

At 3-5 psi you could probably go without one.
