yup thats what im talkin about. I was looking mostly near the brake booster area. Never thought of goin over the valve cover with some flex tubing. Think im gonna go that route. Thanks

haha yep first thing I noticed.

Thanks for the other pics too. I've got a ricer filter on my N/A miata and after stop-n-go traffic, it'll detonate a bit, even running 93 octane. Sucks having the filter right next to the hotness.

Why doesn't anyone seem to run this with turbo setups? Does the increased length in the intake have a negative effect when a lot of air is being sucked in? Or is it because most turbo setups have open filters with no boxes, so no way to route the intake? I have this setup now with my normally aspirated miata (soon to be boosted), and I'll feel stupid with a hole in my firewall doing nothing.

I'll try and get some pictures of my intake.

I get ambeint intake temps, with the filter inside the bay:




If you went to the Vbgarage and searched the name I posted before (uofacats) you'd see a really good one:
