Default Question about ETD racing 1.6 manifold

http://www.etdracing.com/miata3.html

For the 1.6 manifold it looks like they don't drill two holes (#1 and #4 cylinder port center holes) in the exhaust manifold. Does anybody know why?

no doubts about the quality, but on this page:

http://www.etdracing.com/flanges.html

if you scroll down to the miata 1.6 flange there are two holes supposed to be above #1 and #4 cylinder port centers. But there aren't.

And also this page, where they show the greddy replacement manifold:

http://www.etdracing.com/products/manifolds/miatag3.jpg

For those who dont know what I'm talking about here's a pic of a BBR 1.6 turbo kit (couldnt find pics of BEGi/FM manifold):

http://www.mazda-mx5-bbr-turbo.co.uk...ine_parts1.jpg

And look at the gasket/manifold flange.

Go have a look at your car maybe?

They are there on the gasket but not used on the head.

Ok that clears things up. I was under the impression that those are stud holes.
