Hahaha seriously! I'd love to input on some surface-area-plights, but mines tiny because it has to be, so thats that.

-Yes, your compressor housing will be stupid hot
-Yes, your intercooler will get heat soaked

I would not feel comfortable with a smaller intercooler on the track. Look at Savington - he's at your power level. He's not using a tiny IC . You can only get away with stuff like that on the street.

And people keep asking my why I bought a Rotrex.

:P... I love turbo cars but after building RX7's for a while and then the turbo NA last year I wanted to try something new. So far the heat in my engine bay is almost non existant and with the addition of the TDR heat sheild I just bought today it should help even more.

I am running a 28x7x2.5 IC. It's just at the limit of what I'm making right now (225whp) so when I up the boost and get a manifold I am going to have to get something bigger. Although after some hoolaganism yesterday in some back roads (yes I know not the same) out of curiosity I popped the hood to feel the cold side charge piping VS the hotside and it is a big difference so the small ic is defianatley doing something..
