FM has silicone coupler hose on clearance by the foot. They still owe me a refund on my Link I returned. I am about to call them and bust their ***** about it. Thinking about getting them to throw in some of the silicone, or atleast applying some of my refund towards it.
Question: How do you actually cut the silicone in a straight manner? Or is it pretty easy with big scissors? Thx

Use those big long hose-cutters, and all should go well. Much better than scissors.

Cleanest way is to put a wormgear clamp on it and then use a razor blade on it. That way you get a very nice straight guideline... and the razor cuts it cleanly.

Hmm maybe my dad has a hose cutter. I like Dave's idea. That's along the lines I was thinking.

Hacksaw works nice and quick but not as clean as a razor blade.
