Yeah, it's too bad the guy that built the barstools let his site go. I can't remember how expensive they really were, but seems like something you should just have.

I always wanted one with a remote control, throw a zombie on it at Halloween or something nutty.

I saw this last week and was wondering what it ever would be used on.

Now I know!

The wastegate actuator is almost as big as the whole turbo!

I get that there are projects you can use these little turbos on, but what kind of hardware are they actually manufactured for?

Maybe a gas/turbo powered Rascal would be a good project.

This is where I got the picture from. Tops out at 60 hp so might be a little small even for a Tercel.

Around my area all the homeless guys run on motorized bikes. I asked this guy Bundy how he did it. He was like a chainsaw and gatorade bottles. Pretty soon all the kids had them. I'll boooost one of them.

its been awhile since I even worked on this, but I took a break from the norm and dug this out of the garage. Got to work on it, fully weld up the manifold today, drilled out a little bigger diameter bore in the carburator main jet, and got it temporarly running "okay" for the most part. I first put a spring to keep the internal wastegate closed, but added too much pressure to the carb that it kept dying on WOT. The charge pipe is a temp thing too, since its just a small household vacuum tube... lol. I plan on using a coolant hose, eventually. My next plans are as follows:

-weld up an aluminum gas tank, that WILL be pressurized to 2psi...

-modify a small propane tank to hold the compressed air

-use a compressor pressure regulator, to keep 2 psi constant, plumbed from the compressed air tank to the gas tank. This and the previous two, will ensure fuel under boost.

-The next thing is an idea of using a spare power steering pump from a 1.8l miata, and using it as an oil pump to feed the turbo, from a separate oil tank, of which I will also fabricate for fun.

- weld up the rest of the exhaust to make it neat and not halfassed like the retards on youtube.

I have this vid, its kinda a teaser, since its a spool test. I took this vid to show that a T2 is small enough to spin at idle on a 10hp engine.
I will try and finish it by the end of this week.

edit: dont mind the long useless **** at the end, I thought I hit the record button again... obviously I didnt.

update: Apparently, to make it successful, my grandfather (master of boosting carburated V8s) said I would have to do less if I just fabricate a custom mount and intake piping that puts the carb in front of the turbo intake. He also sugested finding a marine or larger carb... discuss and I will take the idea with the most pro's than cons and make it reality!
