Go ahead and buy a set of injectors (list above) and watch the magic.

With the ECU your stock fuel pump will be adequate for nearly any fueling needs. However, if you are trying to force all that fuel through those tiny *** stock injectors, you are going to run into some problems.
Almost sounds like it is happening now!

hey guys!! got the problem solved yesterday after a fine tune and tuning the boost down to around 11psi and some fine tuning with the electronic boost controller... Apparantly the engine would knock at around 12.5psi...

After all.. the engine is fully stock for now... would consider doing forged internals when the time is right. Hehe, for now the miata is fun to drive... will try to post more pictures soon !

I am a noob as well CM, and I may be overstepping my knowledge range, but in my estimation, turning the boost down to 11 is a crutch to hide the fact that you are not getting enough fuel to run any higher. Run the injectors that are recommended above and you can turn your boost back up.

More boost = more need for fuel.
High boost without enough fuel = knocking.

Forged internals are nice, but at your power levels are not necessary.

forged internals are great, but your motor still won't last if you're knocking

Hi again peeps, some updates on the miata!

Having settled the problem the last time around, went around organizing some drag matchups and the results were very poor.

Decided to bring the miata down to another shop to get it re-tuned.. Before we did tuned the miata again... the following was done:

- Replaced the 1 external injector with a PE 700cc one
- Replaced all the boost hoses to new samco ones
- Brand new shinning intercooler
- Some servicing was done
- Then the final retune.... the result was this....

Size: 49.2 KB
Name: newHP-1.jpg
Views: 139
Size: 51.7 KB

Now, the ride feels much more powerful... very very satisfied with the retune.

i would like to thank all the helpful peeps in this forum and also the shop...

By the way mod lists includes:

Destek Unichip
TD04L from 05 WRX
Walbro 255HP Fuel Pump
Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator
Apexi AVCR Electronic Boost Controller
HKS Mushroom reloaded air filter
Brand New Mines Bar and Plate intercooler
Top Mount Custom Manifold
2.5 inch Charge pipes Hot and Cold
2.5 inch Downpipe and straight through exhaust
Samco Hoses
Greddy Type Rs BOV

Nice, I'm building around the same turbocharger. How about some pics of the setup?

Was that Evo injector low or high impidence? When I looked at a set of Evo 510's they were low. Do you know if your setup was running that one low with the rest high?

Hey miataspeed .... well... the shop that i went for the retune actually identified the previous external injector as a GSR one, instead of an EVO one... impedence wise.. im not so sure whether it was low or high.....
