Default what intercooler do I have? early FM/BEGI I think

purcahsed this intercooler a couple months back, seller said it was an early FM kit made by begi. my problem is that I don't have any instuctions, and with my radiator/ac condensor out, I still can't figure out for the life of me where it bolts up, or even what orientation it should be...
an ID would be great, install instructions would be unbelieveable! I cna't find old instructions on FM or begis websites.

Email or call FM. I'm sure they will email you the earlier instructions when they used this.

Ok i have pretty much the same intercooler for my setup, and yes it is an older style BEGi, or possibly FM intercooler. Only difference is that my intercooler is the upgraded version with a longer core and without that extension pipe. Anyway, you see those two arms on each side? they bolt up where the tow hooks (baby teeth) are. I took mine out completely, but it may be possible to keep em installed. What you need is to take one of those tow hook bolts and go to a hardware store and fine two of em that are maybe an inch or so longer and a few washers to go with, err on the longer side and just use extra washers if you need to. That Intercooler will NEVER fall off, or even move at all with those beefy mounts as long as you dont tighen the bolts like a *****

As for orientation, you have it right side up as pictured and the straight piece of piping is on the passenger side. When it is bolted up, the intercooler will be slightly angled with the bottom more forward.

Hope that helps, should be real easy once you read this and look at you car again ... good luck

awesome, thanks akaryrye! I just had a look, that seems to be right on the money, but I think that I am going to have to do some trimming of the black plastic bumper support in order to install. how much did you have to trim?

if you are talking about the undertray, I completely removed it up until now, though I have considered trimming it to allow reinstall down the road.\

everything I read about the tray suggest that it is necessary to get proper airflow over the rad.
BEGI is supposed to be emailing me instructions for installation, I can pass them on to you if they are sent
