I want to say something regarding the clutch...
The F1 clutch that was sold on Ebay and the XTD clutch looks identical. I have had this clutch(F1) on my car for over 50K and have had 0 issues out of it... in fact after i purchased it in my intro thread here, people stated the clutch was actually pretty good and could hold 300~ hp.
I had assumed that the F1 and XTD stage 3 6 pucks were one of the same?....
@OP. You need to just read a lot more. Maybe even look into some night classes. Knowledge is power, I know your excited. But stop. Ebay parts can be put on and make (Somewhat) good power, and maybe last a while. But that's with someone that understands everything, and has a good sense of how everything works, and can source/DIY/Fab a lot of things.
I can appreciate the enthusiasm a great bit, and the fact you are not just getting upset kinda shows you at least want to learn. Google a ton man. Search for weeks. Practice working on a spare engine you could get from the junkyard. Take it all apart. Leave the car you have alone as it works, and it could be a DD. I wish you the best of luck man. And I do hope that you have fun at the end of the day. These people more of less just want you to not fail horribly.

What problem do you have with me? I did research before purchasing the F1 clutch. It had good reviews and holds more power than I need it to. Your going to hate on me because I purchased something on ebay with proper research?
OP
Do whatever you want to be. But there will be flack.

Actually I do. He has REAL experience, where others only have taught Knowledge. Real experience will win with me most of the time anyway. We can all read, and most of what we read is bullshit anyway. My bike claims it can go 220 mph, but my gps never got over 207.see bullshit. My car CLAIMS over 200 also but never broke One nintey something...more ****. He tried it and gave me his opinion..my question to you now is....of all the things you say are ****, how many have you tried YOURSELF. Not saying these parts are good or bad just asking your experience in the game

OP is just making some interesting and questionable statements and decisions.
Like this coil whatever thingymadoohicky he's asking about. Smacks of someone who has done exactly zero research of his own.

I just don't quite know yet if this thread is a big joke or not. Like each post I expect op to be like JK guys, I'm actually leaving my car stock, putting on a MS, and learning to tune it.
Also I'd like to see the source of information that said the F1 clutch was good. I remember quite a good number of threads about it totally ******* up. That is about it.

Idk.
He said its good. I have again had mine for over 50K with prolly 12K forced induction, a few autox Seasons, and a lot of Atlanta Traffic. I just installed a MSM turbo kit. Im going to shoot for 200 WHP for now. Ill report back im sure if i grande my clutch.
(Hell i saw one dude who had all kinds of issues with a spec clutch, a FM clutch and another. He went through like 3 before finding one for "The slowest Turbo". My f1 worked right the first time and not a damn hickup. *Shrugs*)
I would happily buy one again.
@OP
You dont need that coil. you have a different coil pack than that one. That is for a much older type of ignition. Please just stop going onto ebay. Start looking at build threads. start reading books on engine performance. buy a Megasquirt ECU and Learn how to tune your car. that would be the best practice ever.

Also the people who have issues with the FM clutches usually had something wrong with their master or slave, which got worse with the added pressure of the clutch. Happened to me, and plenty of others.

XTD, F1, ect... are all hit or miss. There are success stories out there. But more failure stories. In the end I don't care what people do. I'm not one to talk anyway.

But on a side note, the issue people have issues with FM could be the same reasons people were having with F1/XTD. Idk
I hear Ebay parts are never good everyone rips on them. I dont buy a lot of Ebay things. But I went out on a limb with my clutch, and after making sure I got different bearings, and taking my time. It has been great for me. That's all I can say honestly.

So, I was asking almost the same info on another forum and I got this response. Thought it would help any other newbs out there...
Grab onto a steel pipe and have someone hit it repeatedly with a ball peen hammer. Those ringing vibrations that make your hand hurt get transmitted to critical friction surfaces. That rubber ring absorbs those vibrations as they reach the nose of the crank. A Fluidampr is even more efficient. In fact, there was an article in a magazine not long ago whereby it was demonstrated that both the ATI and Fluidampr increased power as compared to a solid pulley on a V8 engine.-
Crank driven oil pumps tend to suffer premature failure when the crank is undampened. This isn't a problem with a 4G63, but it demonstrates what crank harmonics can do.

Forgive me father for I have sinned.. but I hope my early posts didn't come off this headache-inducing.
OP, I'm glad you have a carefree attitude about this. It will help you not go into depression when **** hits the fan (which it will, even if you buy the best parts).
If you REALLY truly want to "learn about engines" the best thing you can do is get your hands on a used Megasquirt, some injectors, and necessary sensors and learn to tune it.
You will seriously learn SO much (speaking from personal experience). and in the end you will have an excellent platform from which to begin your turbo build.
Once you have a well-tuned N/A megasquirted car, the process of installing a turbo literally consists of
1) remove intake tubes and replace with charge pipes
2) remove header and replace with exhaust mani
3) Bolt turbo in between them and give it oil (and maybe coolant).
But based on the last 3 pages of fail I'm sure you'll ignore this and call me names and talk about how yolo-tastic you are and how you don't care if you spend $3,000 dollars and blow this thing up because at least you "learned how to build a turbo car" (the wrong way).
