Default Low, Rearward Mount?

I don't plan to start manifold construction until I have the exhaust removed and I can physically see the room / space. However my thoughts are to mount small turbo low and rearward to the point that the charge pipe can go straight down, and behind the A/C (maybe only move the lower radiator hose.

It seems to me this would get the heat away from the brake MC and the heater hoses, and also simplify the down pipe.

The Manifold would be asymmetric towards the #3, rather than towards #2 as is typically seen.

The only trick I see is missing the steering column. Are there any other gotchas that I should look for?

Getting an intake tube to the inlet of the compressor might be hard.

Oil drain.
Depending on how low you go.

Oil drain and steering column really keep it in the middle of the motor like most setups.

I have thought about, up and over, as a fallback.

I had already noted the steering column. The right-hand drive guys have a real advantage there.

The other 2: Drain and comp inlet.
Drain I knew to watch for, Inlet I may have missed until too late.

Thanks for the replies.

Waste gate actuator is the issue.

^^^^
I remembered this thread and that you hated it, but succeeded. Room for wastegate against body.

The solution could not be any more obvious:

remove wg
achieve clearance
run ALLOFIT
