Default starting a turbo build

Hey guys im pretty new here, and I have a 1990 Miata that ive done a 94 1.8 swap into and plan to build the motor and prepare to turbo the car,

Mods so far
Torrsen differential
Flying Miata track coils
Advanti s1 storms
BFG rivals
Reverent build ms2 enhanced
Harddog m1 hardcore bar

Parts already purchased
Supertech 9:1 pistons
Manley H beam rods
Supertech valve springs
Valve seals
Arp head studs
Arp main studs
King XP Bearing set

There may be a few more things I pick up before building the motor but wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions or parts I should add during the build, I plan to run Fab9s turbo manifold/downpipe and a Borg Warner efr 6258

I was reading through Ryan's money pit thread and notice a few people were suggesting 8:6:1 super tech pistons over the 9:1, any insight on this I plan to stay on 93 octane gas

Just gives you a slightly better safety margin when using pump gas.

And for that reason, I went 8.6.

Just had a chat with Bryan and he suggest I stick with the 9:1 he said the difference in the two is very very minimal and I know I just said break the 300hp mark but I'd love to be around 330-340

Add 6spd trans to the list. A fun street car is one that doesn't break.

It's on the list and I'll most likely be picking up a local 6 speed next week, the block will be back from the machine shop soon. When I rebuilt my last motor I had my block painted black witch wasn't a very good idea so this one will be red

Labor of love. Or is it hate. I don't know, it feels the same. Either way I'm starting to grow happier with the car as I iron out more particulars. Just gotta replace my wideband as it's a bit wild grabbing interference and tighten up some fittings before finding someone to set it up better than I have.

I found someone locally willing to help out so I'm stoked to get it returned on dyno. Then maybe sell it if there's a buyer who'd appreciate it. I've been busy with house renovations and satisfying my wanderlust to keep tickling the miata.

Go for the 6758 since it's the same price with negligible spool difference. All other piping is the same.

Before you get too far in to updates, you might want to make a build thread so others can easily find it later.

Build Threads - Miata Turbo Forum - Turbo Kitten is watching you test compression.
