Default MR2 injectors

Does anyone know if you can use MR2 injectors? I know you can use supra injectors, but would it be the same thing?

There's info on the solo miata site about the injectors... the MR2 ones listed are only 213cc though.... for the "PnP" injectors.

Solo Miata Info

Maybe other injectors would work, but they might not be PnP.... if you want bigger than stock, but PnP, the Supra's or the Rx-7 ones are your best bet....

Interesting info on that site, a shame he doesn't go into more details about using many of the cheap 450cc sized PnH/low impedance injectors. Should just be a resistor box install... the honda camp does this all day long.

50bucks for DSM 450s
20bucks for Resistor box
Free - wiring and cutting and taping....

Or is this not fully doable on a miata? (can't see why not... but this entire car is new to me)

Well a friend of mine has injectors off of a MR-S with a turbo and he says its 320cc and he was gonna sell them to me, I figured that would be a good size to go with for a turbo.

There's a difference if you want PnP or if you want to splice connectors. I know people who did both... figuring, what boost I'm currently running I went for the supra 305's... (some peopel think they are 320's...) they are PnP, and I found a set for a good price on ebay....

You can add the resister box, or wire in resisters in the wiring if you need to run the low impedence injectors.... A buddy is running 350's RCs which required the connector and the resisters.... I know other people running different injectors with the link too....

To each their own in this case....

I wonder if a "consolidated" thread about what injectors work with part numbers, flow rates, etc.... if that would be a good idea?

I've found some threads that talk about what injectors work, but only the ones people know work. A thread like what your talking about would be a great idea.

Those are low impedence... you'll have to get the balast resisters in there to have the miata/emanage understand the injector.....

(you might want to measure the voltage to confirm).

I haven't tried the 305's yet... however, I haven't heard of any adjustments required... Still boostless right now... although the fedex man, left a present in the door today....

There are enough high impedence injetors to choose from that you might as well choose from those. Most cars that come with stock turbos run low impedence injectors but several cars come with high impedence units and plenty of aftermarket ones are.

What is PNP??

PnP = Plug-in-play ... guess somedays it pays to be a geek in the real world. <G>
