Crap. Too small. All crap, in fact. You can do better aftermarket.

I ran an MSM IHI turbo on my 94 for a few months. 99 motor, custom 3" exhaust, 2 1/2" intake and IC piping. The car was probably making about 240 to the wheels. The car was hella fast. However, with that free flowing exhaust and intake the restrictive waste gate opening started to cause problems. It wasn't big enough to let enough air bypass the turbo so it kept building boost. Driving around with the wastegate wide open still yielded 15psi. With the thing hooked up(to the stock actuator) the car was making 17-19psi on cooler days, 50 degree range. I scrapped it for that reason. I didn't want to be running that much boost on my stock 99 motor. I've since installed a completely new custom kit with a GT2860R. So much more power at lower boost and spool is even quicker.

If you can pick up the MSM turbo with the stock mani and downpipe cheap it is probably worth it to get your foot in the door. If you don't go with such a free flowing exhaust you shouldn't have the boost creep problems. I woulda kept mine for my other car but I needed the money to fund the new project. The stock msm intercooler is pretty worthless though.

edit: I sold the whole setup to a friend and he loves the kit.

edit 2: that is until i showed him how much faster my car is tonight.

welcome
whatever paul says...
its fun as a starting point if you can get in it cheap enough, if it's gonna cost some coin, just put something together...
