Thank you, Ed, for being the reasonable one here. And to everyone here, I'm 20 years old, I make mininum wage, and I live on my own. If you want to see the other side of me, the one that does things "the right way" go to my crx build page. I sunk everything for almost 2 years into that car. basically rebuilt from the ground up. I won't let you guys down and you aren't going to scare me away. This is my first turbo car and I did everything myself, you can't expect it to be perfect.

You have a future in comedy, kid. This thread is hilarious.

If you want some real constructive criticism: everything about your setup is ****. The only reason it runs at all has more to do with luck than your skill. You should sell it all (or honestly just throw it out because nobody wants it) and buy a megasquirt. Start there, there will be plenty more time for failing later.

Constructive criticism: Get a rollbar, asap. You CAN roll a miata at low speeds even on a track with plenty of runoff. I know I was a dick earlier, but nobody wants to see another person crushed under a miata.

Get a megasquirt, i bet you could find a used MS1 for 200 bucks or less, get some cheap injectors, buy an ebay intercooler, properly duct this with your stock radiator for now if you cannot afford an ebay special alum one. Make 200whp. Your car will make MUCH more power, and the motor will last longer. Win win situation.

Steve, I beg to differ. There are 3 good parts to my setup, One piece aluminum charge pipes and a well mounted intercooler, a low mileage mitsu t25 turbo, and 2.5" exhaust with a 22" glasspack. It honestly doesn't need much... Megasquirt and some bigger injectors.

And none of those matter because when (not if) your mani cracks in 1 week, it will not run. And if you are lucky it won't even suck a piece of the mani through the turbine, destroying it also.

Seriously, you want some honest advice? Take that **** off immediately. Do it right once, it's much cheaper that way.

Your setup is only as good as its weakest point.

Also... There's little excuse for being 20 and still making minimum wage. Aspire. Your car projects can progress more quickly that way. Unless you're going to school, in which case I know student jobs suck.

Might I suggest you perhaps sit tight for a bit, read and learn... You're going to get flamed here with your setup no matter what, but you can still read and learn and prepare to improve your setup.

I am actually starting a one man detailing business. For the last 2 months about once or twice a week I deep clean at least the interior of a car. And before the hate, I don't use the Miata as my market car, my CRX has fresh paint and very clean factory interior with a few small upgrades.

is your crx built and turbo'd? does it run 10's or demolish road courses?

if not, STOP TALKING ABOUT IT, NO ONE EVEN REMOTELY CARES. Seriously. You have no idea how little we care about rice burners.

If its built and boosted, and ACTUALLY fast, go ahead and share details and post pictures. Otherwise don't even bother.

I never would have guessed.

FTFY.

Seriously.

But dude if you're having fun, have fun. Just don't expect any support from the guys here unless you want to do it RIGHT. Know that your car may blow up. Have fun. Its already a beater so if it blows up so be it. Or fix it up and bring it back from the brink.

All this car is for is to have fun, I know most people hate my car and don't want to talk to me. Lets me focus on just having fun.

I know I need a rollbar, was kinda stupid to put money into the turbo first. But the track I go to is a go cart track, super slow and lots of runoff space with nearly no chance of a flip.

And to everyone who has posted and will post on this thread.. I built this car as a hatemobile/idgaf car. I already have a nice car and it kinda sucks to drive cause you get all paranoid something is going to happen.
you dont understand that I dont care.

keyword: drift = lifetime no care.

I get my paycheck today and all the bills are already paid so I will probably be ordering MSpnp this week. Will MS-1 be fine? I'm having a hard time finding any reason I need to spend $750 on MS-3

The MegaSquirt sub-forum is kind of outdated then isn't it? Everything that's pinned to the top is MS-1... I hate asking questions like this cause I'm used to figuring everything out on my own, but I'm just lost here. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Then you haven't looked very hard. At a minimum get an MS2, you should be able to get one for not much more than an MS1.

Explain to me exactly how the hell you drift a car that's front wheel drive? A corolla?? Come on. Next you're going to tell me that your grandmother drifts her geo prism.

Todd, I can't tell if that was sarcasm or stupidity. Up until the 90's most corolla's were rwd. And the corolla drivers I'm talking about are using the AE86 chassis.

And to everyone telling me to buy used... I have looked through the first 3 pages of the classifieds and searched ms1, ms2, megasquirt, mspnp, diypnp... and I can't find a single ecu for under 450.
