Default My "Little Project"

So, I finally have some spare time to write everything out.

This is what I plan on doing to the car (things w/ a + sign next it I already have at my house, the rest is getting ordered in mid-June):

ENGINE
+Wiseco pistons (.040 over, 8.6:1),
+ETD racing H-beam rods,
+Racetronix 900cc Injectors replaced the Precision Turbo 780cc Injectors,
Precision Turbo SC-50s Turbo,
+21x9x3 intercooler,
TiAL 38mm or 44mm W/G,
TiAL 50mm BOV,
+MS-I v3.0,
+Innovate WBO2,
+COP's,
+3" ss exhaust,
Equal length runner exhaust manifold,
+Custom intake manifold
+w/75mm throttle body,
+Custom dual feed Fuel Rail,
+aeromotive a1000 FPR, got replaced by FueLab FPR,
+Walbro 255lph hp fuel pump,
+TII LSD differential,
+TII Transmission,
+Clutchnet 6-puck solid hub clutch,
+Clutchnet 3x red PP,
+ACT flywheel - prolite 9.3lbs, Stock FTW,
+KOYO 55mm radiator.

Suspension / Chassis
"extended" HDHCDD roll bar or if I find an insurance company that will insure a car w/ a roll cage than I'll go w/ a roll cage,
+Stance coilovers,
some diff. sway bars (have not decided yet),
FM Butterfly brace,
+FM adjustable bushings,
+PartsGroup.com depowered steering rack,

Brakes / Wheels
Willwood 11" f/r (miata roadster) - over winter,
Sportmax 002 16x8 (if I can find them in a 5lug version),

Exterior / Interior
Corbeau Forza buckets - over winter,
+OEM side skirts and mudflaps,
+power everything (was non-power before),

(I'm probably forgetting many things, I'll most likely be adding more)

Here are the photos of the car from day 1 'til today:

I bought my car in July '06, drove it around until March 15, '07.

This is how my car looked like when I just got it:

A month or two later I got rearended:

On March 15th I put it on jack's:

After I put the car on jacstands I took out the differential and sold it to "miataspeed1point6" (the one on top/left is the stock miata diff and the other one is a T2 LSD that I bought from a friend):

I took the fenders, front bumper and hood off:

I also have a question to all of you, Should I keep the "Twillight Blue Mica" or paint it White or "Galaxy Grey Mica" - as on the Mazda 3?

I'll be updating it as often as I get something new finished.

Not sure but I think I have read that if you have a stand alone ECU like MS you don't need an FPR.

The MS will be a complete stand alone - the stock ECU will be removed completely. But I think thaat you still need a FPR to actually regulate the fuel pressure.

The fuel system will be completely new. I won't be using any of the old fuel lines that are on the car right now.

The TII is a pretty involved swap, good luck.

My brother was helping out and he left everything on the engine like that.
The bags were actually used to put the bolts and nuts in and label where they go. Cocaine (the energy drink) helped out a little to not fall asleep.

This car will be a serious beast. My vote is for the "grey".

So, whadda ya gonna do with it... other than scare passengers and deflate the ego's of Ferrari owners? I don't see why 350whp is out of the question. Tires? Are we thinking about rolled fender lips...?

The plan is: 450whp on race gas and ~400whp on pump, maybe even the 450 will be on pump. idk yet. But i want to run around 15psi on the street at all times and be able to switch to 20psi still on pump gas if needed and about 25psi on race gas

I know. Other cars hate my car and tend to bump it often - the first day someone backed into me on my way back from cinci and cracked the drivers taillight.

For that much hp a mustang TB or other might serve you better than OEM size wich would probably be a restriction past 350 or so whp. GL

Very sick setup dude! Should be an interesting build.

Why do you need sportmaxes in 5lug though? Doing the whole rx7 rear end stuff with the diff?

I'm looking for 5lug sportmax 002's because I have to replace the hubs on the miata to the ones from the tII Rx-7 and i like those wheels - cheap, wide enough for my needs and look good.

My friend is trying to get my car painted for $200 - I have to prepare it for painting (remove all rust, bondo the whole car, all that crap) and they will just spray it for me. We'll see how this goes.

I hope to get most of the stuff done by mid July.
