Even with one muffler it won't be too loud. I have 3" downpipe into 3" exhaust and into 3" aspec coffee can muffler. It's about 16" long and 6" around, I like the sound, it's loud but not over the top, you can feel the exhaust when flooring it though, haha.

My open downpipe is far quieter with a open WG dump than my roommates stock exhaust 1.6 with a focked cat and a resonator in place of the muffler.

Just ordered the ACT prolite flywheel which is 9.3lbs and a clutchnet 3x pressure plate and a 6-puck clutch - also from clutchnet (custom made). The flywheel was $280 shipped from nolimit motorsposrts.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who just lays the **** all over the garage floor.

I also put it on the basement floor, which my mom doesn't like but hey, she has half of the garage packed with her stuff and the garage (the whole garage) is for my use and my cars.

I drove my friends '06 STi after we converted it back to stock... well mostly stock, it only had a stock DP instead of an NVidia DP and exhaust, but it was fun to drive, you could feel the exhaust when you drove it and it wasn't that loud, 2 cats really quiet the thing down. hahah.

I'm going with a 3" DP, 3" exhaust to a 30" long body, 6" round muffler and 3,5" exhaust tip on each side of the rear bumper.
What do you guys think about this?

Why the SC?

A nice garrett ball bearing (say GT35R) would probably fit our smaller motor much better.

The SC-50s is the same as the gt35r... but a little cheaper and not BB.

WHat kind of I/C pipes should I use?
my turbo has a 2.5" outlet, my intercooler has 2.5 or 3" I/O. what should I do? 2.5 hotside, 3" coldside? I have a 4" inlet on my throttle body which actually is a 75mm (3") TB.

Great project...Subscribed, and wishing the best of luck!!! Esp interested as I am 1/2 way thru getting parts for a diy turbo of my own...NO where near as in depth as yours, but I love these things...

I have a Tial 38mm wg that I should be receiving next week sometime...Brand new/in box, and will be selling as soon as I get it...
Long story short, ordered a bov+wg from the guy, then decided to go w/ gt2560 turbo which has intg wg...

Shoot me a PM if u want, I'm just looking o recoop what it cost, and t was a decent deal....

1 more thing, I wanted to check out the flywheel, but dont see anything but Chevy Cobalt parts on nolimitmotorsports.net website...can u post link, or possible I'm on the wrong site??

Anyway, get back to work on that monester!!!!!

Exactly the reason why it would be better in my opinion.

When do you think you're gonna see full spool on that? 5k?

Anyways, I'll ask some friends of mine that are running a similar setup (except on a DSM) if they have either of those things (BOV & WG) for sale.

I think part of the reason for going non-BB was so he could rebuild it on his own if something happened.

Chad is always right about my car...

UPDATE!!!!! Finally something going on with my car.
I got rid of the subframes... who needs them? FM said that they make miatas fly so I hope mine will...
THe control arms went out to powder coating (GUNMETAL ish).

So i need new ball-joints (where to order them from??), I ordered FM adjustable bushings (lol). Stance Coilovers, Walbro 225lph HP, Fuel Lab FPR, ACL bearings (i can't find a place that carries Clevite around my place and ACL is supposedly better) - these things are being ordered on teh 13th.

UPDATE!!!
I got my control arms back... they have the Super Pro Adjustable bushings from FM. The subframes are painted black using Rust Bullet - 4 layers.
Now I just need some spare time and a few more parts (turbo, WG, a different I/C) and I should be able to put the car back together....
Spare time? haha this is the biggest problem.

I'll post photos of the control arms and subframes later today
