I want, but I have stock sub braces on my 96. I would even drive over to pick it up. Dan, I thought I recognized your car! I was in Daytona back is Sept and I saw you on 92 as I was heading towards the beach you were heading West. We gave each other the nod of acknowledgment. I drive a classic red with champaign chaps. Your car is bad *** man.

I guess I need to figure out my goals quickly on my car. I was planning a 1.6L turbo kit for now and building a 1.8L.... I'm just trying to determine the diameter that I want for piping, 2.5" or 3" ? Figure the eventual goal would be a 1.8L turbo kit, but I don't think I'll want to push more than 250-300whp.

I would want an exhaust to look exactly like yours, dan.

(I posted on CR as well).

Yeah man you probably were. It was on a Friday around 4-6. My son and I were coming in to stay for the weekend.

Well, if you end up making for a 1.8L then I am in for a set up.

1.8L doesn't mean a thing, it was used to denote the 94-97 models with rear sub braces. Dan states that the system will NOT clear the sub-braces on later model cars.

as stated here:
Rear Brace/Tow Hook Area
I know for sure no rear braces will fit with the exhaust other than MAYBE 949 Racings but looks like that might be a fail too. We were talking about this when making the exhaust and we have a great solution but just haven't made it yet. Based off 949's inharited design we're going to do the same however instead of going UNDER the exhaust createding a "U" bend to go up and OVER the exhaust eleminating the age old issue. Emilio if you have the resources to do this and want to by all means! Sure it would work for more than just this exhaust. The passengers side rear tow hook area MAY have to be trimmed. Mine was for the last exhaust systems so it was no issue. If so it will be minimal but I don't think you will have to do anything.

How important are those rear braces? Would I even notice a difference if I've got a roll bar and frame rails?

Sorry to change from day to day but I just type what I'm thinking. Might not make since to some but figured it would help most of you all look at things from where I'm comming from. With that said....just emailed off for ALL the pricing i'll need to know on piping, mufflers, etc, etc. We have a ton of request over on CR.NET about the exhaust in mainly 2.25" setups. Mad doc I got your PM and hopefully if we can figure things out my plain is to build both a 2.25" system and a 3" system and then will have all three to make jiggs off of. Once done those exhaust will be sent to the buyers and we can stop ***** footing around and actually have everything to make these. I expect it to take us a week or two to have all this done and start making these.

Rear Brace
Danny and I decided we didn't want to comprimise the design for the brace. As posted earlier the 949 brace should work if not it can be flipped upside down to work.

Was thinking something sexy looking....(dunno if that sounds right)...based off the 949 racing tubular bar. Some crappy photoshop sketches.

I might be interested in just the polished muffler/turndown combo....I'll probably have to fabricate the rest of the system to fit some other modifications I've done.

Hey Dan,

I am very interested in this setup as well.
I will send you a PM in a minute, but I would be looking at 2.5 from the cat back...

Thanks
