Default New to Miata turbo setup

Best Pistons, Rods, Cylinder liners, and Turbo specs.

Goal: ~300HP daily driver

I need a setup that will spool relatively quickly as I plan on attending some track day events.

for one damn minute stop being ********* and answer the question. if you spent half as much time answering questions as you did being ******** then more **** would get done. this is a MIATA forum. Why bitch at people for asking questions about the car? Now I HAVE SEARCHED but have not found a good answer to my question. So to someone who would actually like to help: I want to know the best pistons and rods for internals and the best compressor trim for my turbo.

If you didn't find an answer here....go jump off a cliff...a high one. The reason we don't answer stupid *** questions is because their are several FAQ's and sticky's that answer every question that will even think about crossing your mind and another 10,000 that won't.

IF SOMEHOW you manage to think up a question that hasn't been asked before and it's not completely assinine then it will be ginen a very thoughtful well composed response. Lern to search, read and your questions will be answered, guarantee it, or ***** sake, sam just put together a thread with every site you'd ever even need to visit if you own a miata including vendors that sell the parts you asked about it.

Now do what you're told or leave us the **** alone.

See, now no one is going to want to help you, because you're a crybaby who wants to be spoon-fed this information. If you had searched (meaningfully), you wouldn't have asked such a broad-stroke question. Just that you want to know what cylinder liners are popular tells me you haven't read one sentence about Miata engines. If you had, you'd know that Miatas are closed decks and do not require "sleeves" like big-power Hondas use.

Anyway, I was once new to this too, but I read things, understood why people did things a certain way, not just that they did, and came to my own conclusions. You can do the same, you just need to take a step back, grab a beer, (chill the **** out...) and start reading. You can start with the FAQ (search: FAQ) and go from there. Come back with some more specific questions and we'll* be more than happy to help.

* I'll try to anyway, you've probably already dug too deep a hole with 80% of the other members.

We need to have current specs on the car also, put it in your sig, along with a location in your profile.

What's the budget on the project? I could tell you very easily based on your post to just call flyinmiata, order a stroker motor, and slap a 30r on it. That'll get you your power goal and above if you want.... But what do you really want?

Do you want a responsive setup with limitations around 300 and easy daily driver status below that? Do you want a setup that has lots of headroom? What sort of mamagement do you want to run?

Too many questions to answer in one post my friend! There's a wealth of knowledge here, some of these guys make my brain hurt sometimes, you just have to ask the right questions!
