Noob question...

I like the idea of the ebay intercooler kits. Been reading through as many threads on this as possible.

With an NB (2002), Do I need to drill holes in the (body/frame) metal to run the IC pipes?

Ic setup would be for approx. 180 hp - daily driver.

I'm in the process of purchasing/building a non-intercooled low boost kit, and from what I read the heat soak will be apparent right away. So want to know my options...

Appreciate any tips.

The FM kits are nice, Buying the pipes and then an ebay IC is a good way to do it although the pipes alone are pricy.

Personally i swear by the over the rad TDR IC which should be fairly easy to remake with Ebay parts.

The point is, I see nowhere in the FM instructions that says cut a hole for the intercooler piping.

Thanks, i was thinking of only a way to route an ebay kit without cutting holes... The flyinmiata option looks good. Are these 'continous' silicone hoses as strong as traditional piping? (I've never seen/worked with them)?

I've yet to see anyone complain of them failing. They are made the exact same way as the regular triple silicone hoses so i dont see a reason why they would fail. Just the opposite they are flexible the entire way so that should only make them stronger since they arent being flexed at one point and one point only.
