Default Building new exhaust, advice anyone?

So im tired of my current exhaust, its 3" dual and it hangs really low and every bump i hit it scraps and i mean it SCRAPS HARD to where my whole exhaust shakes and CRACKS, this exhaust has led my downpipe to cracking 3 times completely separating and leaving me stranded.

so i decided to just go 2.5 since im going with a whole new turbo set-up using all BEGI's parts, manifold, and a SS seperated gasses downpipe which is 2.5 btw

so im ordering some mandrel bends from our forum sponsor Columbia River enough to build another sweet new dual 2.5 exhaust and this time do it right and have it hang high to where it'll never hit the floor.

im picking some new magnaflow straight-thru mufflers tomorrow NIB for $120 locally Score for me

so i wanted to ask you guys if you all think the 2 mufflers will be good enough?

I have no cat and no resonator for this current exhaust build and wanted to ask if i should at least throw on a resonator

My current 3 inch has a cat and a shitty resonator and is pretty loud but OK i dont mind going back to a nice stock sounding exhaust though, will a exhaust set up with a resonator and 2 mufflers be over kill ?

I'm not sure what your mean exactly when you say "duals". Just make a single 3" from your DP back and run a single striaght thru magnaflow of your choice however you want it ran(single or dual outlet). Simple as that. In fact you can take a look at one of my recent threads on how I built mine.

You're running dual exhausts on an in-line-4? Why?

I agree with the bandit. Take a look at my current build thread. I spent this weekend building a 3" turbo back. Took about 10hrs total to do both my first time doing it. The pictures you see of mine are it complete. It fits up under the car very tight. I would say everywhere except where it goes under the diff/axle, it is at least 4" above the bottom of the rails.

3 inches with cat, resonator, and ginormous magnaflow.

There are bunches of 3" exhaust build threads here, and I don't think anybody suffers grief from them. There's at least four of us running that giant magnaflow that y8s has and it's a phenomenal piece for max flow and minimum loud.

Recommended tools:

Jack stand with a nut welded to the outer sleeve for infinite adjustability-

Vice grip type tubing clamp (<$5 @ HF)-

I can't believe how good (and quiet) the large Magnaflow sounds at cruise and at WOT it makes its presence known, but is mellow. I am running a 2.5" FM mid with the resonator and cat. Not sure how much it contributes, but me likey.

I just got the 6" Magnaflow can and it's really pretty quiet. Virtually the same tone and volume of my FM Turbo Single. Mind you both these systems do not include a cat. So with a cat I would imagine it to even quieter.

I just got mine finished tonight, similar setup. Nice low tone, I like it a lot, would highly recommend!

All you need is a welder, (even a HF one will do fine), a jack, some clamps, and a free day.

I would recommend V band clamps too.

got 2 magnaflow straight-thru's + a magnaflow resonator inplace of the cat. orderd all the parts from columbia river cept the mufflers.

wish i could afford to get the v-bands instead of the flanges but ran outta money.

this is how i will be mounting the exhaust. i know its overkill but i got the 2 mufflers at a great deal from a local on craigslist. both for $100 brand new in box

Ive measured and should fit snug

Where did you get those tips at? Are they 3"in/3.5"out?
