Default Q about compressor wheel and housing (60mm 62trim)

ok so the short version is "I want to try a smaller compressor".

the long version is:

will a 60mm 62 trim wheel and housing bolt to my 2876R's CHRA?

I haven't looked much at how it fits up yet but I'm hoping for an easy swap. whee!

oh and I think that this will make it a GT2860R. If that helps.

I have nothing of value to add but why do you want to go smaller?

his dick got bigger, so their is no need to run an excessively over sized turbo for his power level?

If paul is pulling 300 rwhp on a 2560 and has boost in the low 2000 rpms.... why the heck not?

I'm sure it's not an expensive test and may allow more smoky burnouts.

Teehee m@, didn't I always advocate the "smallest turbo for your realistic max hp goal", for a street car?

i don't see why it wouldn't work....so long as the housing is made for the wheel.

...the backplate will be machined for your 71mm wheel, but i don't see that posing an issue. you'll just have a 5.5mm dead space around the wheel.

you can see my backing plate...if you can't understand my jibber jabber.
