What altitude are you at?

If you are at 7k+ like me, than 18-20 is normal.

timing affects idle vac... if you're below 10 degrees your vacuum will drop from normal.

I havent checked the timng but if anything it's advanced because I get some ping with 93. I'd bet anything it's my POS gauge. Gonna order a new one now thanks. I was thinking 20-21 thanks for verifying

I show 21, on average, at idle here at sea level. That's on a Defi electronic gauge.

Not sure what you mean? Are you saying it will only recall peak and not minimum? The set I have don't have recall anywho.

Ryan

P.S. SloS13: You don't have to be a baller, My Defi's were ~$150 each. I've never had an issue with Defi and they're spot on:

$150 on a boost gauge is baller status where I come from but there's nothing wrong with that. I probably won't spend $150 on my whole exhaust and downpipe.

for 150...you could get 3 autometer gauges that are accurate enough to the eye...defi ftw if you want a simple install and nice looking gauges...but to monitor boost the best way is to use a map sensor that is logged!!!

18-20 for me. You guys are running VERY high vacuum.

Reminds me when my teacher told me once that it wasn't possible for a car to have that much vacuum at idle. I had plenty of fun making fun of him.

I actually have the prosport.com gages. I love them, and so far have been some of the more accurate gages. The price is very right also.

Hooray for 15. Siemens VDO gauge, if they're good enough for Porsche in the 70s, they're good enough for me.
