T3 turbo question
I got a question, I searched online and could find a straight yes or no answer.
i got a nice T3 turbo sitting on my desk, but I am having a hard time, find a cheap T3 manifold for my 1.6. That and having to get a completely custom Dp doesn't help.
I am wondering, is there a way to swap the exhaust housing of a T25 for the T3 housing. I am assuming if it is able I am going to have to port the housing, which is fine.
To me this saves alot of issues that I have with the T3, such as the "stock" intergate hits itself(which I don't like") the T25 housing will have a better intergate and will allow for a more off the shelf.
Before anyone says to just sell the T3 for a T25, I don't plan on it and if I have to wait longer then I will just wait longer. I want to see what power I can make witha 1.6L t3 cause there are not many out there.

when I measured it, the compressor was 57 trim, unknown a/r. Turbine looks to be a stage 1, with .49 a/r
What size was yours again??
as for manifolds, never seen an obx T3 turbo. hence the whole T25 cause I started thinking that I can get a DSM t25 housing for free and run the cheap manifold(braced) for a while, or hunt down a greddy manifold and dp.

if you measured 57 trim, it's most likely a 60 trim wheel.
did you measure:
1.830" Inducer Diameter
2.367" Major Diameter
mine's 1.900" Inducer Diameter, but the rest is identical, it will perform just as well. Good for 275-300rwhp or so, and can spool up nicely if you know what you're doing.

Well just remeasured and I got smaller then 1.8, it was closer to 1 and 5/8s, so 1.68. Wow weird, I got 50 trim this go round... either way it will it should still be nice
