Default Anything wrong with using a flage adpater ?

Anything wrong with using a flage adpater like to go from a T3/T4 to a T2 etc ?

I'm going with a Taco Bell (taco taco) cast iron manifold and T3 50 trim turbo.

I see adapters on line to change from one turbo flange to another.

Does using an adapter interfere much with flow ?

Do the additonal bolts cause problems with reliablity etc?

Problems with fit aside from needing flanges for the down pipe for the next turbo that you mount?

I searched and found little on their use.

Thanks,

P

have you bought the manifold? if not i dont see why you would want to use a adaptor. just buy the manifold for the turbo you are going to use.

problems that can occur are clearance issues due to the extra space it requires and maybe more chances of having exhaust leaks due to added gasket or whatever you use to seal it.

I liked your dyno plot but I'm not a 100% sure that the T3 will spool up quick enough with my 1.6.

Maybe an adapter would allow me to try something else.

True. I'm just trying to get a feel for how bad they are.
