Default RusMan eat your heart out ( new engine pics )

Last week when I posted pics of my intake manifold install RusMan told me that I had the messiest engine bay he has ever seen. I know for a fact that RusMan is just a little jealous that I make 100 more horsepower at the wheels ( im jealous of his wheels so we are even ), but I did clean up my engine bay because he was partially right about it being somewhat messy on the intake side. so here are some new pics after I relocated some vacuum lines and while I was at it I changed my exhaust manifold and turbo-manifold gaskets.

these cars can greatly benefit looks wise from a wire tuck. The engine bays are so damn cluttered, especially on the intake side.

Someday I'll get around to a partial wire tuck, if anything to look a little bit cleaner.

Lookin better Andy. A partial wire tuck would really set it apart IMO. I do have to say that I am jealous of your ghetto-fabulous hp...

"Tucking" the wires out of sight by any means possible. Running all your wires through loom so it all doesn't look like a rats nest. Anything to remove clutter and make the engine bay look more "clean" and tidy.

I guess, mine isn't tucked so i should stfu.

thats a large freaking turbo you got there. I really dig the all black look ... not to mention the fact that if an idiot opens the hood and does not see that massive snail over there, the intake manifold firmly states that it is indeed "turbo"

Well if yo do make 100 more hp then good for you, and I do want more, haha.
Looks better now, yours is not as bad cause your engine bay is black, mine is white so you can see all the wires. I'm doing a partial wire tuck right now, I'll post a picture of mine a little later.

There it is:
Note; all the headlights are wired with HID's, no headlights yet though, haha. Factory diagnostic box was relocated to the far right corner. Hood release cable is also hidden. Still not done, I will clean up more wires on the engine and accessories. Stock radiator overflow tank is replaced with greddy one, really cleans that side.

Where did you get a hold of that GReddy overflow bottle. I have beens searching for a cheap version on ebay for some time now with no luck. BTW engine bay looks good. I'm a big fan of the bronze/gold accesories look. Get rid of that ugly EGR equipment and it will clean up a ton of space.

You mean the crap on the passenger side? I really want to but I don't know if it'll trip a CEL or not, I'm still on stock OBDII ECU, anyone got more info on this?

I bought the overflow tank used from the guy off of CR.net that was parting his car out.

I removed the EGR pipe on my '96 and get a CEL every 400-800 miles. Not a hassle to me to clear it with my scanner when it's that seldom.

Over at M.net everybodys car seems to be diff., but usually it will either set it off once in a while like sam, or it will be on continuously.. I dont worry about it bc I have the Link, and it doesn't care about the EGR.. you could try unpluggin it and see what happens.. that should give you the same conditions as if it were all disconnect I think. Please jump in if im off somewhere.
