HELP! Why aren't my COPs working?
One thing that worried me for awhile is the people who were failing to trigger the coils with their '99s. I read all around and it seems the one thing uniting them is the use of Greddy E-mangle Blue.
Maybe Brain could add to his archive summary that EMB doesn't seem able to trigger the coils when they are paired for wasted spark.
Crap! I just spent four hours reading this thread and related ones. Time to go breathe some smoky fresh outside air.

It does if you have the ignition harness (I do). It allows you to retard the timing under boost (otherwise, what's the point of having it).
How do I test to see if the cops are firing? How do I know that the contact probe for the cop is touching the top of the plug? Thanks for the input.

When I installed COPs w/ Megasquirt, I built a new harness from MS to the COPs, that way troubleshooting was much easier.

OK. It's confirmed. The emanage is causing the cops not to fire. If I bypass the e-manage ignition, it works. other wise, no go. I've also tried using Jason's circuit (purchased from boundary engineering). Again, no go with the emanage, works fine if bypassed. I'm not sure if it's a voltage or current issue (I don't have an O-scope lying around), but it doesn't work if the emange is in. Any suggestions?

I would have thought that Jason's circuit would have solved that. The only thing that I can think of is that the op-amp used in the circuit doesn't bring the voltage up enough.
