Default HELP! Why aren't my COPs working?

Crap! I just spent four hours reading this thread and related ones. Time to go breathe some smoky fresh outside air.
I've been doing a lot of searching and now I'm a bit confused. Will the COP conversion work with an EMB in the mix on a 94? Also, where is everyone tying into the coil harness? There is a gray plug up the harness from the coils that seems to have all 5 of the connections from the coils (power, gnd, tach, and both triggers). I found the exact plug (thank you pick and pull) and I'm using it (unplugging the coils at that spot and plugging in the COP harness there, but I can't seem to get it to work. Now I'm wondering if it's an EMB issue. HELP!

It does if you have the ignition harness (I do). It allows you to retard the timing under boost (otherwise, what's the point of having it).

How do I test to see if the cops are firing? How do I know that the contact probe for the cop is touching the top of the plug? Thanks for the input.

If the coils are installed: shut off fuel, pull one of the COPs w/ spark plug attached (leave COP attached to harness), crank the car and look for spark.

When I installed COPs w/ Megasquirt, I built a new harness from MS to the COPs, that way troubleshooting was much easier.

OK. It's confirmed. The emanage is causing the cops not to fire. If I bypass the e-manage ignition, it works. other wise, no go. I've also tried using Jason's circuit (purchased from boundary engineering). Again, no go with the emanage, works fine if bypassed. I'm not sure if it's a voltage or current issue (I don't have an O-scope lying around), but it doesn't work if the emange is in. Any suggestions?

Yeah - get rid of your eManage. It drops the trigger voltage too low to control the spark (or something). There's a lot of discussion about that.

I would have thought that Jason's circuit would have solved that. The only thing that I can think of is that the op-amp used in the circuit doesn't bring the voltage up enough.
