Default T2 rebuild kit, Good/Bad Ebay seller

Has anyone bought one of these T2/T25 rebuild kits from this ebay seller? Little better price than GPoP, but i'd hate to buy shotty parts because a couple bucks.

I copied the pic and zoomed in real close... and it looks identical down to the last piece as the gpopshop kit I got. It even has the extra wavy c-clip, two sets of bearings, and extra large o-ring.

ONE MORE THING I JUST FORGOT: I had to re-use from one of my turbos the c-clip that holds on the compressor housing. There were two included in my rebuild kit that appear to be the same size as the ones in that picture... the smaller one holds the compressor backing plate in place and the larger one is supposed to hold the compressor housing on... but it was too small and I had to reuse one of the old ones.

I'll edit my rebuild post right now.

Thanks Samnavy, that rebuild sticky was actually the only reason i looked into rebuild kits instead of a whole new turbo. Gpopshop has good prices on their Big T28 as well, with a year warranty which is nice. Still have to make up my mind. Drop $80 into a rebuild kit or drop a grand into a new turbo, downpipe, IC piping.... Hard decision

I've boughten from turbos_r_us before. No problems with them. I think my first rebuild kit and a few gaskets.

Update your sig for us. I just looked at your other posts. I'm pretty sure you've got a WB and the WI kit.

If you're seriously thinking about replacing your T25 with a $600 T28, I think you'd be better off rebuilding the T25 and getting a used eManage Ult. Hook up your WB to it, rig up a crossover tube, install the WI, resell all your old IC **** and AFPR, grab some used 330's. Tune for 230rwhp and call it a day. Throw in a boost controller (Axon perhaps) and you'd be sittin' fat.

Current setup sam is stock fuel management with the Voodoo box base settings. I had the car 2 weeks and was just starting to get stuff when the turbo started leaking oil from the turbine housing seal. The prev owner never put a restrictor inline with the oil feed. I do have an AEM WB w/Gauge and all but I just got it in the mail and still have to install that mess. The local AAA muffler welded a bung on my downpipe no prob though. As for WI, i'm still waiting on that kit to come in the mail, mine is coming slower then everyone elses. I don't have an AFPR unless that is something standard on a 1.8 with returnless fuel system. My car ran great untill the turbo went bad. I don't think i'll be getting rid of my IC setup seeing how I already have custom powdercoated piping, Tial WG & BOV, and my IC already installed in the car and working great. Unless there is a reason not to use a fully functional IC setup?

Damn, I'm always forgetting 1.8's are returnless
Ahh, you're using the WI to compliment the IC setup... I was under the impression that most guys around here were going WI so could run w/o an IC. Then the next step is just money. I don't see any reason to go T28 unless you plan to up the boost. That T25 should flow fine up to the 230-240hp range. If you want more than that, you'll need to consider T28, but you'll also need some engine management... how much money you got? If it's just $600, then a rebuild/Ultimate/Inj's are the way to go... you can certainly do that if you buy used. If you can squeeze out an even $1k, then how about a used T28 and the Ult.
I'll caveat this by saying that I don't really know anything about eManage, just from reading around here... but for that specific amount of money, I can't see a better/safer/more reliable alternative.

Yeah, i plan to run WI with my intercooler, why not right it leaves me great room for expansion. I want to keep the T25 and rebuild it right now just for the sake of saving a few dollars right now untill i can devote enough cash to a new turbo and downpipe and whatever IC piping i will need to redo it. As well as the engine management and fuel system upgrade to go along with it to increase boost. Currently my focus will be to just get the car up and rolling. Before I rebuild I want to get a good turbine housing though because my current one has crack around the WG port and I don't want to rebuild something with cracks. Unless i have to of course.
