Default Custom Downpipe need alittle help

I am piecing together a custom down pipe and wanted to hear others opinions on how this setup will work. I am running a HKS manifold so the turbo is set in the middle, and a GT28RS turbo.

V-Band Adapter - GT25/GT28/GT307X-WG Series: atpturbo.com

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...de=ATP-MDP-010

to this

3.00" 90 V-Band Pipe - Short Leg: atpturbo.com
or this

3.00" 90 V-Band Pipe - Long Leg: atpturbo.com

Thanks ahead of time for your help

my suggestion would to be: remove your current downpipe and make a cardboard cut-out o the new piece and see if it would work.

They do not have exact dimensions on the site so I was thinking of ordering these parts and making adjustments to make them fit.

Looks like that will bring you too close to the firewall

My turbo sits further forward than yours and I don't think that would fit on mine. Also, you're adding another v-band clamp that you don't need AFAIK, I wouldn't do that upstream of the O2 sensor since it may leak a bit.

Making a DP is pretty simple once you have the parts, a friend of mine and I built mine w/ an abrasive saw and a welder in ~ 3hrs.

word of advice; the vband thingy from atp, although nicely welded, will NOT fit well in the miata with an hks top mount mani. btdt.

eBay Motors: Turbo Manifold + Down pipe Mazda Miata MX5 90 91 92 93 (item 270330205733 end time Jan-20-09 20:30:37 PST)

Get one of these to start...
The quality of the downpipe is not bad.. You need to cut it just above/under the o2 sensor...
I used a 2.25 inch bend to connect it to my turbo...

1st hook it up to your kat (no lock nuts, testing only..)... mark where you want to cut...
