Default Summer Plans: Pics to come

So about this time last year I bought a full greddy setup and made pretty decent power out of my miata (something like 170 rwhp). With braineack's constant urging I decided to get a wideband, then I bought megasquirt. Well I finally lost my mind and bought a T-25 w/ full 3 inch downpipe, megasquirt, and 550cc injectors. I'll post some pics when I can steal his camera to take them but the thing is beautiful. I picked up the setup sunday and had the car up on jackstands today tearing it apart. I'll photo document the build for your entertainment.

No, no, you're really confused. This is the point at which you "came to your senses". Now if you just play dumb, "braineack" will do your work for you... and he might even get y8s in on the action... and the rest of those mtnet diyers.

If I didn't already have my hands full of my own projects, I dont even have time to put in my new clutch/flywheel/1.8 diff.

Setup should be a vast improvement over the Greddy kit with a HKS VPC controller.

just gotta rip out the BEGi FMU, MSD controller, VPC, wire up the FP and
AIT sensor and install that junx and we'll be in business.

3/5/2007- 4:30p
I got the car up on jackstands (no pics from today) but I got most everything disconnected. Got a bit dark so I called it a night to go inside and stare at the turbo.
*UPDATE* 3:30am- a tow truck was reported to the police sitting outside my car with the lights off, apparently an individual got out and was walking around my car.

3/6/2007- 9am
I was sitting at work and my roommate calls me and informs me there is another tow truck outside and that i'm in danger of being towed. I come home. I removed the turbo and manifold and took the damn thing off jacks. By the way it is like 30 degrees and my hands are now numb hah.

Default Take a look at this junk

downpipe and manifold were built by someone who knew what they were doing. Still trying to figure out how they bent & shaped the first 90* so perfectly. Vast improvement

I live in Northern VA, I haven't seen a garage since I moved out of Pennsylvania. The only way I'm getting a garage in NOVA is if I shell out 500k for a townhouse here.

You can get townhosues in the Manassas area for about 300-350k that have garages. Thats what I am hopefully going with this summer.

Yeah but a townhouse in manassas is far as hell from where I work. Plus its still manassas. No offense but theres really nothing in manassas outside of City Tavern (where I picked up a 32 yr old married chick at age 21) and O'mera's (where I met her husband, the coke dealer)

3/8/07 - So it snowed putting an extreme damper on my plans. I did go to walmart and pick up a dremel, which I will be using to sand down the inside lip of the downpipe (see pic) and some of the car body where the downpipe might hit. I also bought a set of standard wrenches. Why? because i have ONE bolt on the turbo that is standard and is impossible to ratchet. Put in a call to Gpopshop.com to try to find the size of the damn oil feed fitting. At this point Braineack and I are stumped as we have heard about 400 different sizes for this stupid fitting.

Well this weekend I made some major headway:

The oil feed and fittings were ordered friday (for future reference the T-28 uses a 7/16ths fitting)
I ported the 3" downpipe (cause it wasnt big enough) and ported the exhaust manifold a little bit. I then began clocking the turbo and mounting it. I'm going to modify Stripe's pipes kit to fit and then run the water lines. Basically the only remaining task is for the oil lines to come in. I will get the car up and running w/ the supra injectors and have a 3" pipe made to the cat-back. Then its on to the megasquirt/550ccs! I will post pics tonight of my work this weekend including my newly mounted BEGI radiator panel (the sex0r)
