Default first turbo build, 1990 1.6L miata

have papers where it was rebuilt at around 140,000 miles
im going to check compression and make sure its a good engine tomorrow

racing beat side skirt, fenders, new top, red leather interior, adjustable cam gears, and its a LOT slower than my 93 that had the 1.8 swap in it.
i dont know why, it has full adjustable suspension, lowering springs, has a lot of stuff done

racing beat maf and racing beat intake, rx7 spoiler,

just some basic info about it ^^

but i want to just run 4-5 pounds of boost and i would be happy, just want something thatll give me a little more power and make it a little more fun to drive

so turbo mani/downpiep/turbo and pipe to intake ild imagine

whats cheapest build i can do? any advise, never had a turbo car before

My single best piece of advice- delete this thread and read up for a few weeks.

If you don't, they will rape you like a house cat in here.

I made a similar thread not too long ago (albeit I wasn't afraid of the shift button, it wasn't my 1st post, I bothered to read up before posting, and I asked more specific well thought out questions), but they still ate me alive. They told me to do myself a favor and get the Begi-S kit, they will tell you to do the same.
Here is a link to the thread I made asking the same basic question:

Read the stickies, in fact read all the stickies on this sight.

The aforementioned Begi-S is cheap and meets your goals.

No, you can not get an ebay kit that will work, and I highly doubt you could do a DIY kit that would be cheaper and not kill your engine.

Edit: Maybe the Shanghai-S would work:
