Default injector question

didn't REALLY think about this until i was starting to swap injectors this afternoon, but i'm curious about whether i should actually use the supra 440's i have... The body is the same length as the stockers, and the plugs modify very easily to fit, and plug right in, but the business end of the injector itself doesn't look like it'll protrude much if at all into the head, like the stock ones do.

supra black tops (low impedance, going to run them w/Megasquirt and possibly resistors):

look at the one on the right, from the side, and see what i mean about the "business end" of it not really looking like it'll poke through into the head much if at all? i'm not 100% sure if that matters or not, but the stockers look a lot mroe like these (image i stole from someone's old classified post. not stock blue-tops, but are direct PNP and have the protuding injector end i am concerned about the supras not having...

They're fine. Make sure your grommets are good against the head, if they're hard they might not seal causing a fire risk.

hmm, sounds good. I was thinking the same thing, but i like to worry. :-)

cruzinperformance supplied me with new grommets that are nice beefy rubber, and they seem to fit tighter than the existing stockers. i'll stuff those in there and call it a day.

you're talking about the grommets down by the "business end" right? the ones that kinda seal the injector into the head?

the stockers more or less lifted out of the head. i had thought they'd be a little more secure than that...
