Relocating coolant hose below turbo

Relocating coolant hose below turbo
Is there a better way in relocating the coolant line without buying one? Im thinking of cutting that nipple and blocking it off there and then cutting a hole and welding the nipple their. See picture. Open to ideas

Im trying to get rid of that whole bracket so i got some more room to work with my manifold. Heater line will stay cause its been freakin cold. I am referring to the radiator hose.
BTW i forgot the die grinder at work
But i cleaned up my exhaust ports fine. See my other thread

. Are you going to be able to get the die grinder, or are we just tuning tomorrow? Oh, and the exhaust ports look nice btw.

I'm in this same boat right now to finish up my build. I think i'm going to clip it 180*, cut off the heater hardline after the first bend and plug it in there, get it to stay somehow and run a hose between the cut pieces of hardline. I imagine i'll have just the right amount of hose leftover after I shorten my oil return line for the new turbo location.

damn just looking at this in the miata yesterday. was thinking about pulling it and having a flange made and fabbing it to hit a 90 maybe straight forward since my a/c is gone.
i wouldn't even think of modding the oem part. but damn that lower hose is a jacked up mess.

I definitely need my heat. Gonna go get a hole saw and ill post up the outcome. The only possibly concern is that since the flow is redirected that it will hinder my cooling efficiency. But, Ill try it see how it works.

Dammit! That was going to be my suggestion. Flip it, and run a flex hose to the lower radiator barb. I welded a small .25" plate over the heater core line, putting mine to the upper radiator line for track driving and no heat. I could drill and tap that plate for a heater line down there though.
