Default TURBO ADVICE PLEASE 1.6

Which of these turbos would be best suited for a 1.6 Miata that has Supertech forged pistons 8.8 compression and some slight porting work on the head.

I am open to suggestions, the manifold is a T3 manifold so hence why I am looking at T3/T4 turbo. I previously ran a IHI VJ-11 turbo on my older setup.

Comments are most welcome.

You want us to tell you what turbo to choose without even telling us your power goals? Seriously?

Sorry guys, my bad for not providing more info and thanks for pulling me up. LOL no offense taken.

I am looking at around 220-240whp in terms of power, I want decent spool with good wide powerband, in short a very fun street turbo setup.

I expect that I will be running 10-14psi.

Let me know if I need to provide more details.

If you want 240whp, good spool, and a wide powerband, sell your built 1.6 and 1.6 turbo parts and buy a stock BP4W 1.8 motor, a T25 1.8 manifold, and a small T25-based turbo (either an SR20 T25 or a GT2560R). You will be significantly happier with the end results and your out of pocket costs should be minimal.

I didn't read very far in your first thread, but I did get to the part where Braineack spoonfed you the answer. Go back and reread it ya big dummy.

A Garrett GT2560 or GT2860rs will be perfect for 250whp

I have decided to go with the T3 50 trim turbo that Braineack is running and have already placed my order.

Will see how it goes from here.

Thanks for the advice.
