What about Turbo bolts?
I've had a few bolts on the manifold to turbo exhaust housing loosen up on me after a while on my t25 turbo. One even fell out. Of course it had to be the hardest on to get to. It's the one on the bottom right when looking from the driver side of the car. It's such a pain to get to and I have to use a realy short bolt to be able to slip it in between the housing and the housings flange to get it in the hole. I can only get a couple threads on it because of this poor design.
I've been using the golden color bolts from other places that no longer needed them. I assume they're grade 8.
I want to know what you guys are using for your flange bolts. Do you use thread lock?
Lock washers?
Are A.R.P. bolts better or different than common grade 8 bolts?
What length bolts are you using? Especialy for that one that's a tight fit to get in.

I'm using bolts. I'm not sure how I would get the studs to stay put. The manifold flange is threaded all the way through so there is nothing for the studs to bottom out on so I can torque them. I could weld them in place I guess. Do they include good nuts with those? Are you using thread lock or lock washers?

There is a lot of documented issues with ordinary turbo hardware and we developed a solution. These have proven to hold up to hard track abuse without failure where as previously regular studs would only last about 10 minutes on track before there was a massive exhaust leak.
Our stud kit includes:
- 4 40mm OAL M10x1.5 Inconel studs with rolled threads
- 4 M10x1.5 Stage 8 fastener kits
- Small bottle of Resbond 907TS

Those are the options if you want your turbo to stay on. You can go read the ridiculously long thread about studs stretching after heavy use. While the studs seem expensive, they have been proven to keep your turbo on.

This has all been discussed to length in the thread that shuiend just linked. Read what you can, and know this: We know what we're talking about.
1. $159 is a bargain for those studs.
2. Not much else will work, there has been limited success with turbo braces
3. Last option is v-bands.
