Default T3 Turbo (Volvo 740) Downpipe

I have a T3 turbo that supposedly came from a Volvo 740 Turbo (it matches the sample I found online). Where can I find a downpipe flaired piece to match the flaired flange exit on the turbo? The ID of the flair is about 50mm and the OD is about 70mm. I tried the local yards but they seem to have the 740 Turbo downpipe confused with that yellow precious metal.

I appreciate any help.

why not just pick up a flat-flanged turbine outlet and not use the flared one? I might have an extra, PM me if interested. Post pics of it as well.

and the 740 downpipe won't work as the legs off the bends are too long.

I think he was wanting the 740 downpipe for the flared piece only...

Maybe if this guy's turbo doesnt sell, he'd sell you that piece

you might want to try turbobricks.com or put a post in the WTB section of homemadeturbo.com

If you have the flange plate that locks the flair onto the tubo, you could just make it yourself with a bit of effort ?? should be not be that hard.

Zoomin, here is a pic of the turbo outlet and the downpipe I plan on modifying to fit (it's made for a Mitsu 16G/T25 but I got it cheap). The BOV is actually in the 5 bolt adapter plate shown in the pic.

PM sent.

zoomin, I can't PM you since I don't have 15 posts yet. Please send me a PM about the flaired flange.

Thanks.

Hi, I have the same wastegate!
IIRC I bought this T3 Turbo 3 bolt Downpipe Exhaust Manifold Weld Flange and then I milled down the flared part of the wastegate. Then from there you can build your own downpipe

double check the bolt distance in that link above with your wastegate!

nuvolarossa, I found a flanged downpipe from a member. If that falls through, I'll look into doing what you did.

Thanks.

Thanks to zoomin, I now have a flared flange. If I cut a piece of exhast tubing to fit, can a muffler shop put a flare on it?
