Personally, I use an aem dry flow that i was lucky enough to find at the side of the road (go figure...)

There's nothing wrong with a K&N, but i'd be weary of auto-pep-zone china filters, i've seen the adhesive fail on them when heated resulting in little bits of metal, paper, and god knows what else getting sucked into compressors.

I use a UNI cone filter

They breath from everywhere (including the top). Good price and great air flow.

Previous to that I was just using a metal screen right on the turbo.

Because I needed one in a pinch, and my 400ex was close by. Turned out to be the best filter i've ever had on my car...400ex got a KN with prefilter, car kept the UNI.

Make sure your using a "cage" inside the filter like I have or some kind of fail safe.. A buddy saw my UNI and put one on his turbo del sol, and somehow the filter came apart and was sucked into his turbo (likely due to heat and the glue coming apart).
