-Magnaflow 14419
-2x 3" SS 90* Bends
-2x 3" 4' SS pipes (I bought two but managed to do it with only 1... But there was NO room for error, used every bit of it)
-1x 3" SS 45* Bend
-1x 3" Vibrant Performance Flange
-1x 3" Vibrant Performance Gasket
-4x 3/8th inch exhaust hangers

Total price is just under 350. Keep in mind that this was made with only the highest quality components, there is NOTHING cheap in this.






My tips to anyone thinking about doing this:
-RENT A MITER SAW WITH A METAL BLADE. I cannot stress how much easier this made everything. In case you don't know what a miter saw is, it's a giant powersaw on a hinge that you can adjust precisely in both the x and y axis. Basically, you can cut anything at any angle (within range) 100% perfect. This thing makes CLEAN cuts.

-Tack with the exhaust ON THE CAR. My buddy and I kept having to pull it off, tack, test fit, rinse, repeat.

-You CAN go strait back off of the flange, but it will be a tight fit with the frame. I went strait as an arrow with NO change in angle or pitch, and I have probably 1/4" of clearance between the pipe and frame. I will probably have to do something to stop it from rattling.

-I went around the diff by cutting a 45* bend into two 22.5* bends (Using the miter saw) and welded them up as you can see in the pictures.

Yeah, the outlet section was actually holding the camera at that angle. It just hasn't been welded on yet.

For future reference, you can cheap out on flanges from Weirtech.

From the looks of the welds your moving a bit slow with poor gas coverage so that is something to work on in the future.... It is very apparent on stainless compared to regular steel. That being said a nice brush off and a flapper wheel will knock down the welds to look better since you werent able to use a TIG machine.

you mentioned that you wanted to "do this yourself" then you have your friend weld it together for you? While spending almost as much money as you would on one that would be absolute TOP NOTCH looking and fitting and everyone would drool over?

I don't get it.
I mean good job and congrats on pulling it off, but I would have gone with ARtech too.

Yes, 18psi, that is correct.

Ryan, I bought all the SS off of Amazon. Shipping was what really drove the price up - if I got it locally price would be around 275ish.

I need to start looking around more, I went to a couple of exhaust shops and none of them carry SS. I want to try and do a DIY 3" SS but I know the shipping, much like yours, would drive the price up way too much. Is there any resonator in your setup? It also seems kinda loud.

Haters need to stop the hate. Squirting liquid metal over the joints is like 10% of the amount of work it takes to build an exhaust. He did all of the hard work, probably tacked it together and had someone else weld it. Big deal. There is zero amount of satisfaction for me in buying a premade exhaust from someone else and bolting it on.

That being said, your $350 dollars is WAY steep for what you ended up with. I think I paid something like 225-250 for all my materials and I have a resonator and a muffler and built a downpipe. Oh wait, you used SS didn't you...that makes a pretty big difference. I still think you could have done it cheaper. Looks like you paid full retail for everything.

One last comment. It looks like its going to bang on stuff around the diff area when you go around corners. You could have done that a little bit better but overall great job. Now finish it up!

Yes, I did pay a lot, probably because I ordered everything, and it is SS. I definitely could have done it better around the diff, and in a couple of areas, but I'm more than satisfied with how it turned out .

Ryan, there isn't really am muffler. That can is the only sort of sound deadening there is; it's basically a strait pipe with a can. Yes, it is loud as ****. I mean, really, really loud.

Oh, and some of you seem to be misunderstanding what I mean when I say my friend welded it. I planned it, measured it, cut it and routed it. All I had him do was weld it, and that's only because I can't weld.

as far as the exhaust rocking, add stiffer hangers.

call around next time, you should have been able to get 4 90s and 20' of sanitary grade SS for less than that plus your muffler and flanges.

We're not really hating man, you set out to make an exhaust, and you made one. As long as you're satisfied with the outcome then mission accomplished.

It could have been done cheaper and a little prettier, but you live and you learn.

And yes, lol, that is loud as hell.

I'm seeing people use worm screw type clamp around the hangers to stiffen them up. Gotta try it my self since my exhaust is all over the place.
