Default 90 NA6 won't idle after install...

I stripped my miata two years ago, and sold my setup to a guy I know for his NA6. Greddy Manifold & turbo, TurboTony Downpipe, RX8 550 injectors, DIYPNP, intercooler, bov, piping, IAT, wideband and COP setup all from my car... Should be turn key..

On my car, I ran no TPS and no IAC, and had no issues.. I had blocked off the IAC.. Ran 15k miles with zero issues (above 40-45 degrees that is lol)..

Now, he has finally installed the whole setup after completely stripping and restoring his car.. He can't get the car to idle smoothly, unless either the IAC is unblocked, or he creates a vacuum leak.

I have been over to look at his car, and everything seems okay. I'm almost wondering if when he removed everything from the motor to clean/paint it all, if he left a rag in a runner or something like that.

The only difference between his setup and mine is that he has Iridium plugs vs copper, which I doubt would cause anything like this..

I hooked up my laptop to the MS, and Wideband, IAT, CLT, and MAP are all responding. When it does idle, it has 18inHG of vacuum, which is normal..

I reset the base timing to 10 using the Trigger Wizard in TS, because it was off a few degrees... Other than that everythign should be identical to my car.

What am I missing? Did I forget to tell him something? Is there something he/I forgot?

Did he open up his air screw on the throttle body?

blocks the hole that allows the engine just enough air to maintain idle; can't idle.

That's what I did on my car, and had no issue. I tried that on his, and it wouldn't work. Car starts, runs up to 1500-1800 rpms, then slowly comes back down, and eventually (45-90 seconds or so) stumbles and dies unless you hold the RPMs above 800. It won't maintain itself.

Yah... I know... It worked fine on my car, but not on his.. I never bothered messing with the IAC because it was being annoying to get it right, and I got it to idle fine without it..
