Default When is this turbo good?

So i am still looking for turbo options. When is this turbine A/R actually necessary for desired power?

Its a matter if i hold onto it ($375 for a new GT turbo is too good of a deal) and save it for later project. Or if I adjust my manifold and dp around it.

At what power level with this turbo, would the A/R be useful.

Oh heres the specs off the turbo

Compressor
In: 1.83"
Ex: 2.638"
A/R: .60

Turbine
In:2.083"
Ex:1.824"
A/R: .80

the turbine is a tiny bit smaller than a standard T3 but the compressor wheel is larger.

would be good on a 5.0L

this would be a good time to have a turbine map. For example, the 3071, which has a 2.3" turbine and .86 A/R housing would be most efficient flowing around 23 lb/min.

you 1.6L flows about 197.88 CFM at redline or 13.67 lb/min....

Specs tell me it's not a T3, didn't bother looking at the pics. Specs seem like they are from a large T2 frame.

So the turbine:

Is 76 trim, 53mm with a .80 A/R, the closest turbine map is going to be from the GT2860R

GT2860R: 76 trim, 53.5mm with a .86 A/R

I would say the 0.5mm difference is negliable and could be a error in measurement.

i mean if you could find a smaller housing....it looks like it should perform between a 2860RS and a 2871.
