Sure do - my suggestion is to ignore the fear mongering and baseless rumors and enjoy your turbocharger.

FWIW, my written warranty states that you have 18 months from the purchase date, or 1 year from the date of installation, or 100,000 miles.

I still have a few months to get this thing running before I start dipping into actual warranty time...

Yank, I also wrote to Raffi and asked about the rumors and "bad batch" and if there has been any design changes. He told me the same thing about the break-in procedure when installing it. As long as you follow it, you should be fine.

Bryce, you have 12 months of service or 100K miles or 18 months from shipment date, whichever occurs first.

I have no idea why he'd say that other than the shaft wearing in. I heat treat metals at work.. keeping it hot actually anneals it. Heat treating works by cooling it at a specific rate in a specific density fluid or with some steels in vacuum (for very long time). A2 for example has to be cooled from the correct temp for few hours otherwise it backfires and gets softer.

I failed to include that detail, but that is what I meant. IOW, it's not simply 12 months from date of purchase if the turbo is not immediately installed.

How the hell is anyone reasonably able to accumulate 100K miles of driving on an aftermarket turbo in less than a year or year and a half? That's just silly.
