Default Shes a smokin

Well damnit...she started smoking. My friend a couple weeks back said he noticed it but I just played it off like it must just be a new turbo-car thing. Well, guess it's not. It really became apparent yesterday when I took the muffler off. So now it's just straight pipe dumping behind the axle. At idle it smokes quite a bit(in a puffing way no straight smoke). While driving...not really. When you rev it, it stops.

There is no oil in my pipes or turbo inlet and oil levels are normal(minimal shaft play too), it doesn't smell sweet(smells like bbq) and coolant levels are normal. I'm running a tb28 with a ghetto restrictor. I haven't even boosted yet...I'm still on the stock injectors and the only thing is the msd timing box...so...it's either been smoking this whole time or is something to do with with the turbo.

At first I thought it was the plugs, they were burnt up and ungapped...so I gapped them and cleaned them up...then I thought it might be the 02(I had messed up the wiring a while back). The primary 02 was barely even in the bung, so I resodered and screwed it all the way in. This seemed to helped with the backfiring but still the smokin....any ideas?

leakdown and compression test for you.

Let's hope it turns out to be minor.

Well you see, it's really not that much smoke compared to some of the videos I've been watching. I even let it sit in the garage for a min, and you couldn't see the smoke unless you were underneath the car and looking at the pipe.

If you're not consuming oil (at least not too much) and the car is running fine; enjoy it.

Tonight I pulled off the downpipe to look for oil and what not but instead it smelt strongly of gas...I think my smoking problem is fuel related. I've been getting crappy mileage, have the crazy backfiring and now studdering when I get on it around 0 psi, and the smoking thing now. I'm wondering if it's a stuck injector....just rolled over 106k the other day.

Seriously, this has nothing to do with a fuel management system, something is wrong with the ******* car. Jesus christ man...I said I'm not even boosting yet so it has nothing to do with management systems and a mega squirt wouldn't magically fix my car smoking if it's say a stuck injector or bad 02 sensor...******* Christ. I'm getting a ton of excess fuel at idle on the stock injectors with NO management system. That means something is wrong with the car besides the turbo...it probably just became aparent since I have the 3" straight pipe exhaust. I pulled the injectors last night and even before I got them off I could smell fuel so I'm going to try and change the o-rings today...also my primary o2 might be wired backwards...it has two black wires and I might have switched them...not sure how I'm supposed to know which is which

If you have a fuel leak, be extra careful. Get a fire extinguisher now!

I have an extinguisher just in case. Okay...so I went ahead and put the 315's in with new o-rings...the car actually seems to run better and doesn't backfire as much now. I also talked to FM and they said the backfiring is most likely from being stock ecu and having an atmospheric bov. The smoking, they said, is from the fact I'm using a protege valve cover without baffles...and also a possible bad pcv valve...causing excess oil blow by.
