Do you think no water cooling will decrease the life of the turbo?

Probably, but I don't know that it's a significant decrease in usable life.

In a previous life, I used hundred's of these in a number of kits and never used the water cooling. Only problems we really had with the turbos was blowing oil seals due to end user kinking the return lines.

Longer turbo life and/or lower oil temps would be the mains. The pain of running all the extra lines was always the rub for me.. It's like.. if this turbo will last 5 years and costs 400 bucks.. is it worth the time and trouble to water cool it? I'm pragmatic and lazy/apathetic.

Heatsoak and Underhood temps might be a bonus too.

Mine were 14x1.5. I think I have a few extra of the proper sized banjo bolts. Also, pretty sure there were a couple different varieties of the CHRP over the years.

M14 could be it, M12 might be the oil side. The holes also varied, for example the 1g DSM came with a 14b turbo, but the 14b you'd buy from a retailer today has larger fittings, same size as a EVO VIII.

I didn't find it any more difficult running coolant lines that running the oil feed line on mine.......

Exactly, and if I could get away without oil lines, I wouldn't have run those either.

My oil drain bolt fitted inside the coolant in/outlet so i believe that M14x1.5

Anyone know where online or around detroit I can buy some fittings now?

I am thinking qty:2 M14x1.5 to a 5/16 bard should be good.

Might think about using the stock banjo bolts from the DSM application and using the stock hardlines to get those few inches away form the CHRP, instead of barbs with hoses that close to the turbo.

Not sure there...my turbos came with old crusty ones that I just cleaned up and used.

My WRX TD04L has banjo fittings with hard lines for the coolant, and seem to be a M12 x 1.25 thread. The stock hardlines are a bit too big in diameter, like 3/8" for the miata's coolant lines which are 5/16".

Yeah...if I recall I did stretch the hoses to fit the hardlines, but it has worked fine so far.

The subaru turbos we use are Mitsu center sections. I can get you a considerably better price on that kit, if you're interested.

Do you have any kits with piping that goes straight down like in the Hakuna Picture?
