Default is the XEDE management good?

I dont see anyone every talking about the XEDE system. It seems pretty good to me. $1500 and you get new injectors. Its pnp so I dont have to mess with wires. And it both advances and retards the timing. Is it good? Im a person who just wants to plug it in...I hate wiring, but I still want a lot of tuning capabilitys.

MSPNP, you can get all that plus a WB02 with Gauge.

Leaving you with 300 to buy injectors

not a bad device if you have ODB-II and emission and carb and all that nonsense.

We need to make this a mandatory part of the registration process. Force the user to enter the year of their car, their location (at least to the level of country and state / province / territory) and any modifications they're already made.

You listenin' Philip?

Sounds like there needs to be a NEWB lockdown forum where each user is screened and forced to have so many posts. That way location and signature is always filled out. I've been in a few forums like that.

Loki doesn't put **** in his signature either. Though he is a mod.
Thanks for putting some info in there. Being an NB, things are different for us. Such as we're just that much more badass.

yea it hard to answer question and give opinions if we don't know what your location and car are. Such as do you have to deal with Carb or not, is emission an issue, are you OBD-1 or 2. such question can be easy answered for people when helping you if your location and car are listed, mods list help also.

Its not so much an attack towards you, just toward newbs who ask six million questions without giving much info. You just got the blunt end of Loki, lol.

I heard good things about XEPE over in other forums but never heard much about them in miata. To me thats way to much for a piggy back system.

For that price you could run a boomslang already wired and a EMB/EMU for cheaper with plenty to get injectors and even some Dyno time.

Remember you looking at 1500 for the unit, plus install then dyno time.
Total cost with dyno could be anyway from 1800 to 2200.

here is a link:
http://www.boomslang.us/extension.htm

BTW a Pnp harness for a 99-00 for EMU will run $199 w/o shipping

The Xede is PNP for an '00. Comes standard with the system. If you can install the injectors yourself, there is no installation cost. Everyone has their own thought on whether or not something is too expensive. You would have to compare it to all the other piggybacks out there to know for sure. And weigh in the customer service factor. If you already have injectors, it can be sold without them as well. But high impedance injectors have to be used.

Dyno tuning is recommended for optimal power, but base maps should run with no problems. It depends if you want to do most if it yourself, or pay someone else to do so.

Don't sweat it. Trust me, this is nothing. If we really hated you, the mods would have already changed your signature and username to something gay, and re-worded the titles of you posts. Happens all the time. :gay:

The exede is a very robust unit and seems very simple and easy to deal with if you have the money go for it. For 1500$ you could have some one make you a MS and run 2 wires and buy injectors as well but the exede is more of a sure thing. For sure
