Default 1.8, C30-74 Rotrex, 9psi, 235WHP/190WTQ (E85)

This weekend I had an appointment at the dyno facility Brian Goodwin has been using for many years. It's a privately owned Dyno Dynamics tucked away in San Diego 65ft above sea level. Conditions over the weekend were not the best with air temps at 80* and ~65% humidity.

Set up details:

"V-mount" C30-74 Rotrex
85mm Pulley = 9.7psi peak
Junkyard BP4W with 3 seasons on it.
BP5A Intake Cam
ID1000cc
Walbro 255
E85
Racing Beat Header
Racing Beat High Flow Cat
Racing Beat Exhaust

First run on off the street showed 220WHP at 9PSI, not bad!

After getting the fuel curve dialed in and I started to play with timing, it didn't take much to hit my power cap. Last run of the day put down 235WHP and 190WTQ at 9.7psi peak. The car would have made more power, but given it's age (3 seasons on a junkyard block) and the fact it is completely stock I stopped here.

Dyno operated said this reads about ~10% lower than a DynoJet, either way I'm happy with the 235whp...the car has some serious get up and go now.

Awesome! Digging the "V" mount.

Thanks! It is nice knowing I don't have that sitting in front of the radiator along with all my other heat exchangers. The struggle is real with a Rotrex.

On another note, I'm convinced the dyno I used pretty much matches a dynojet exactly as it sits now. There have been a few ND dyno sheets popping up (using a Dyno Jet) laying down the same numbers as our ND did on the Dyno Dynamics.
