Default New Numbers - GT2871 @ 19psi

Finally managed to get my car back on a dyno today. Numbers came out a little better than last time, and the curve looks emensely better. I have a video I'll upload later.

'99 Miata, '95 block with eagle rods, Toyota COPS, BEGI Cast Manifold, Artech 3" turboback, GT2871 .64AR @ 19psi. Weather was typical South Florida Winter morning... 75 degrees, 35% humidity.

*the dyno AFR's show a good bit leaner than my AEM Wideband, dyno operator said that is typically the case with their "tip of the exhaust" sensor

Looks good man. So you picked up like 20 from the last one?
Curve definitely looks smoother too.
Lovin this setup.

I wonder how much a better exhaust manifold would get you? Also are you using stock IM?

Do you know what a stock Miata makes on their dyno?

What does your spark table look like? I bet the .64AR is holding back a little bit of top end.

spark table changed since last dyno? Can you post it up? looks like torque still dips ever so slightly around 5200...but great numbers!

Thanks. I picked up 13hp, 11tq over the last dyno. Different dyno, more timing midrange, and cooler, less humid weather.

I'm sure there's some gains there but I'm happy with the tried and true method, and I enjoy my AC. Yes the IM is stock, I've got one to port but I don't know if I'll ever actually finish it.

No, I do not. I'm curious how the dyno reads myself, I'm assuming it's a bit favorable.

Here's the spark table:

I made another table that pulled 2 degrees timing across the map. That pull made 321hp, 290tq. They gave me a printout of HP/TQ at each RPM so I'm going to crunch some numbers in Excel but looking at the graph the first run was up 10-15hp across the rev range.

It's the BEGI IC#1, it's hating life I'm sure.

No, I don't have a build thread. I didn't want you guys to figure out I screw up more than Fae.

That's a decent looking spark map. Definitely not a wimpy one anyhow.

Love that you got rid of the smurf green bits too lol

Ehh, hadn't really looked at it recently I guess. She bounces a good bit and peaks close to 21psi. Any idea how to smooth that out? Or am I just beyond the point of the internal gate being able to handle the job?

Yes, he's running stock 95 pistons. Not sure if CR would change if he threw the 99 head on there or not?

Needs less static compression, larger turbine housing, more fuel, and more spark. I bet that car is fast as ---- though.
