I had a crappy day trying to learn how to use the crappy used sticky tires that came with the wheels I bought for good tires.
I didn't get 12's but I can consistently run mid 13's at 106.
My 60' times were crap today but so were my reaction times, I must have been too tired or something, couldn't seem to launch for *****.
I always seem to race the guy in the black gt500 and the guy in the white mustang behind me. They are really nice guys, who love my car but they always whip my *** and run mid 11's at 120 something.
Low 13's at 105, 106. I know I can do better or maybe someone else could with my car. I will keep trying.
I completed my 50th 1/4 mile today, so 12.5 of the now 12000 miles on my MK Turbo are wide open throttle as fast as I can go.
My tranny is making new noises when I put it in first. Sounds like it's low on oil but it's not, maybe I should put my spare in before next Wednesday night.
Ha ha ha! It is pretty impressive how much abuse this thing has taken so far.
Sounds like new noises don't count as a failed tranny the thing still shifts fine and still goes.
I guess I will drain the oil and see what it looks like, then maybe fill it with amsoil. What the hell, it's only a 20 mile tow or so from the track.
So I drove to SF and back, about 30 miles round trip, the new noise is gone now???
I think I will do a couple oil changes with some cheap oil, then do the amsoil.

My best trap speed was 105 and mid 13's.
I did up my reaction time game and dialed in a bit better today. I made 11 runs for $25, best day ever in my opinion. I won runner up in my "Gear Jammers" class but thought I was going to break out and slowed down too much.
If this is annoying, just say so and I won't post here again until I get 12.99 or 108.

Thanks guys! I guess it is just me who is annoyed, it was more fun to post every week when I was faster each time.
The good news is the tranny is still quiet. Don't worry I plan to change the wash oil out soon.
No races for the next 2 weeks so don't be alarmed that I have no new timeslips. I need to do some maintenance anyway.
Lars your kit is the most underrated product ever. There is tons of more potential in your kit but I seem to be reaching the limit for CA 91 octane gas. More boost, less advance, or I start to see knock. Currently 15psi or so tapering to 18psi or so, in honor of Vlad. Actually seems to be a sweet spot for my setup.
The slicks are likely a couple months out. One of my clients passed away recently, so I not only lost a good pal, but also a bit of my play income.
I had a crappy day learning to use the new clutch and launch control. My first runs were with launch control, I guess I need to learn how to use it. My last run was with LC disabled, and I red lighted super hard. I made all kinds of stupid mistakes today.
Back to what I was saying about comfort at the track. I am clearly a bit rusty.
After I red lighted, I instantly regained my comfort zone and just decided to go for it anyway for time. It was the first elimination and I was already eliminated.
All that being said, here you are Lars, I am only 7 thousandths of a second away from 12's on all season tires. The new clutch"bites" pun intended.
Right, on 320 treadwear all seasons. There was a strong headwind again which seems to make a difference. The slicks are still at least a month away since I spent the cash I was saving for them on my clutch.
I have a pair of old Federal 595's that still pick up gravel but they seem to spin more easily than the all seasons. I think they are just too old. Maybe if I warmed them up in the puddle first, not crazy about doing that.
Also there is one of the crappy weekend events this weekend. I would be racing in the morning and it is still 55*F here now and calm, that is 20* cooler than I have ever raced. I don't know though, the weekend events suck and take all day just for a couple runs.
