**** YEAH!!!!

Very impressive. I never ever expected any car running my turbo setup to get into the 12's.

I got kind of euphoric and gave up a bit after I got 12.94, got eliminated on the first round.
I didn't care anymore, I was so happy to run a 12. Everyone is astounded by the 12 second Miata.

So now you get slicks, MS3, and traction control going. 11 second quarter mile times is the new goal.

Great work, I knew you had it in you. Making it on radials is a great accomplishment. Such a sleeper!

11's fuuuuk!
I think I need to finish my motor for that.
From what I have seen, the best launching street cars with slicks aren't getting under 1.5 60' times.
So maybe mid 12's though

Every tenth gained in 60' is worth much more than a tenth in total elapsed time. 11's are very doable.

I mean it is only a second. How hard can it be? It isn't like I'm asking you to run 10's or anything.

Thanks guys!
It is a handful getting off the line, but I am finally getting the hang of it.
I will of course keep trying, there are 7 more Wednesday night events before the end of the season.

Here is the 12.94 second 1/4 mile and a night video where I got eliminated.
I was a pleasure meeting so many of you at MRLS today, I hope you get good times tomorrow. Special thanks to Ed Turbofan, who is an exceptionally skilled driver(and I am not easily impressed,) for taking me along as a passenger. Very intense, thank you!

Thank you sir, it was my pleasure! I'm glad to have had the honor of popping your track experience cherry. It was fun checking out your car too, such a little sleeper!

Thanks Ed, it was a pleasure hosting you and your dad. You guys are immaculate house guests, and are welcome to stay for future events.

Thanks yossi! Your question makes me laugh a bit, only because I tend to get this question from people who drive really expensive european cars. To which I usually respond "sometimes under 2 seconds, you mean 60 foot time right?"
Us folks at the drag strip know how fast cars are compared to one another. So I know what cars/bikes I can beat. We don't know 0-60mph times and we don't know how much fancy european cars cost. We use distance reference and I only know I do 0-85 in 8.4 seconds and 0-107 in under 13 seconds.
Based on specs for cars that run similar 1/4 mile times I would imagine that I am probably somewhere around 4 seconds, but just guessing.

As I was about to fall asleep in your basement last night I realized I had missed an opportunity. I really should have brought some ***** glitter with me and placed it strategically someplace in your house.

I hate missed opportunities.

Being an SF local I probably would have blamed it on one of my real gay houseguests, and been like, oh crap hopefully Ed and his dad didn't notice the ***** glitter.

Ok guys, I dialed in a12.92, and freaking broke out with a 12.88 on my 101st 1/4 mile.
Now 25 miles of 1/4 mile and still chugging along.
Yep!

Same crappy tires.
I know, get tires!
