Default Went to dragstrip tonight

Wanted to get some trap speeds to guesstimate hp#'s. Right away I spotted a guy with an S2000, he was talking to some guys talking about how he had the head ported etc. I told him I had a turbo miata and asked him if he wanted to lineup with each other, he agee'd. Good thing cuz there were alot of very fast cars there and I hate to lineup against sub 10 sec ****.I only made two passes cuz it was very crowded. First time he missed 2nd and I smoked him by a huge amount. I have almost no experience doing this **** and the only time I did it was 2 years ago. here's the slip. I'm running a freshly transplanted 1.8L with the t28 sleeve bearing turbo from a FMII with BEGI's dp and small intercooler, 12psi link ecu Kumho ecsta mx tires with alot of rear camber full interior 28psi, basiclly drove it there and ran it.

Afterwards he was telling how he spun in first and missed 2nd but was catching me at the end, people he was so far behind me I don't know how he could say that he was closing on me so I asked if he wanted to try again, he bit. I saw on dll I had short shifted at 6500 the first pass so I ran it a little further the 2nd time and tried to shift quicker. I beat him by
.6293 I'll be posting video in a few days on youtube as soon as I can get my co-worker to help this old man with this computer ****. It's pretty funny as you can hear the peopl next to my wife laughing at the S200 after the anouncer had made like the miata didn't have a chance unless it had a bottle in it. Second pass he said something bout me having a supercharger

when i took mine out, announcer called it the turbo go-kart or something like that lol.

by the way, those drags are pretty consistant and from your time, you did pretty well. Nice RT btw, beat the hell out of me ... im a pretty shitty driver though, just know my way around a wrench.

Ewwww, S2K KLR. Pretty cool stuff, makes me want to go to the dragstrip someday. Sub 14s is pretty nice, what tires are you running?

Very nice consistency. You just need to get the 60-foot time down, as is usually the case with Miatas. If you could do a 1.8ish 60-foot time you'd run low 13s.

Default video link

Have no idea if that link will work. one can search by my account name "mymiataflys" if it is invalid. I hate hearing how us southerners sound on recordings. the announcer has a distinct accent. Wife had never filmed any racing before and forgot to record the win light on the first video, I think she got excited and started talking to the peolpe next to her that were laughing . Co-worker wants to run me with his 91 mustang GT , stock motor , 3.73 rear gear , auto trany newly rebuilt with a shift kit. I think I can take him , what do y'all think?
using an online calculator I come up with 213HP , DLL power runs are indicating 210HP , I had hoped the DLL were low but looks like they might be about right. the road I use has some slope to it.
