Default Target Map Issues.. EMU

Curious, has anyone had problems getting there target maps to work? I recently installed an LC1 and my EMU is still reading the AFR properly.. and after setting up my target map it wont adjust my IJ map. I have done all kinds of things to get it to work.. Creating a new file from scratch, adjusting AF Target settings.. I cant find anything anywhere that would keep it from working.

Plus another thing I find wierd, is.. if I get my AFR runnning near 14.7 it starts sputtering, and I tend to find it runs best around 11-12 afr im wondering if thats common or not.

When I FIRST installed the LC1 the target map worked a few times... now it just.. doesnt.

ive searched all over the forums and I cant find any help on this specific delima.

Please post your map and tell us what settings you use.

I/J-adjustment settings for the 460 injectors?

lag-time settings?

460 injectors are always a little pita.

yea these injectors have give me nothing but greif trying to get a good idle.. it runs pretty smooth where its at.. settings are 280/435 with a .80 after

I dont have a pressure sensor yet, ive been slowly building my system.. so ive been going off the basis that I usually hit boost around or after 3.00v.. Ill be getting one within a few weeks.. I admit its not quite as easy without one :-/ But that still doesnt explain the target map not doing anything.

these are just rough maps that I was hoping the target map would refine..

uhm, just incase your curious my A/F target settings are 30-90C 5%TP 120sec start time.. 200ms cycle and .5% feedback. I have tried it at 0%TP and 0s start time and nothing changed...

I found part of my answer on the emanage forums themselves... apparently the emanage is too stupid to convert ferenheit to celcius.. I had it showing me in ferenheit so the AF map couldnt understand what it was reading..

Its the damn Nasa mars rover all over again!

but still im at a loss on why I run better at 12ish afr then 14.7.... idk tho

HI,

get a MAP-sensor asap. makes life a lot easier.

I dont know about the temp setting, seems to me, that 90° C is a little on the low side. I changed mine to 105° C (I hope not to see temps that high), because you get 90° C easy at normal running. The thermostat(?) opens at 92 degrees afaik. So I would take 95° at last.

For the I/J size and lag times adjustment - I am running 230/460 and 0.64/0.74.

yea, my autotune is throwing out some really wacky numbers.. (im guessing its just because it cant accurately determine boost without at MAP.. and ill try those injector numbers again I think I tried before.. but that was before I had the LC1.. maybe it will work now.

I just noticed earlier that im gettig some crazy knock at WOT at around 5k.. I gotta figure out why that happening.. last thing I want is holes in my pistons..

my advice would be for someone starting to get a map sens. asap very important. it will make your life so much easier.
did you play with timing is that why you are getting knocks? i would leave timing stock for now till you get it running right.

yea, I had it advanceing timing under vac and pulling under boost.. but no more then +/-5.. im pretty sure I tried turning off my timing map and still got some pretty bad knock/det whatev.. im unsure though.. ill turn it off and try again. I am horrible at hearing the knock myself.. usually I have my friend riding shotgun just to listen for it.. He also told me it could be carbon buildup due to it running rich for so long on initial tuning.. Im gonna run some fuel sys cleaner through it later today.. it def cant hurt.
